"Beautiful hotel. The rooms are as pictured on the web site. Nautical themed and in sparkling condition. I was put on a floor with a wedding party. I didn't want to deal with any potential rowdiness and asked to be moved and was immediately accommodated. The staff are friendly and helpful. I did not use the pool, but I heard a young family say it was very nice.
This hotel is very conveniently located, within easy walking distance of Salem's popular attractions. "

Note - this property is from 1834 so has no elevator and is not ADA friendly if you have a walking disability. This is more awareness than a negative since its charm is its age."

"The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. "
