"Everyone should visit Manor House and West Bexington. Quiet, personal and good for your soul. The rooms (or the room we had) had a somewhat poorer standard than the common areas. But net and clean and I had the best night sleep at Manor House during my vacation. Staff and locals made you feel at home and cared for at the best way possible. "

"Anyone who has stayed here before will certainly be a return! the place is spotless, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the location is awesome, our room was a sea view room with a spy glass which my daughter used instead of her telescope and we both had the most amazing stay. We will definitely return!"

"I had a lovely stay. The owners/staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Even though it’s connected to a pub you couldn’t hear a thing. The bed was comfy and the ensuite bathroom was gorgeous The only negatives are, I couldn’t leave my window open as there was an easily accessible large ledge right outside and the window could be opened fully from the outside if left open so I didn’t feel safe to leave open. "We only stayed the one night but would have no qualms about staying again. The family room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Best of all were the staff who were all very helpful and welcoming."

"If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it."

"The Old Ship Inn is the perfect place to stay during our trip to Dorchester and surrounding area. It’s a gorgeous Inn tucked into a very special old pub. Our room was very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We will be coming back here for sure. "

"Absolutely lovely stay - clean, big room, comfortable bed, massive bathroom. Live music was very loud from our bedroom but we loved it, great atmosphere. Lovely, helpful and friendly barstaff. Brilliantly located, 0.2 miles from the beach, right beside the harbour with any shop or restaurant you could possibly want for along the neighbouring streets. "Fantastic stay lovely hostess really went the extra mile to make our short break very special. Excellent breakfast and the surrondings were all in keeping. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Central location in Dorchester with all its history & museums and some really nice restaurants in easy walking distance Also a good base if you're exploring the surrounding area. You have Corfe Castle & Swanage within an hours drive."
