"Hotel is in center of downtown area, within easy walking distance of train station and restaurants. It’s very clean, modernized and has attached garage for parking, easily accessible from lobby by elevator. Visitor Center is only a few steps away."

"We stayed in the older part of the hotel. The room wasn’t fancy but extremely clean. The tub in the bath was extra big with scalding hot water; not ideal for kids without monitoring, but this may have been only for the rooms with king size beds. I loved the hot soaks. It was an easy walk through a little tunnel to get to the Natural Bridge Park. The restaurant at the hotel had wonderful food. "

"Nice, quaint property. Hardwood floors and nice view. Only concern is that there are some rooms on the 4th floor which isn't accessible via the elevator."

"What a nice surprise this hotel was! We visited the welcome center in Lexington and the nice gentlemen working the counter recommended The Gin. We’re so glad he did, our room was perfect and the restaurant served delicious food. We liked it so much, we booked another night!"

"It was a beautiful, well-furnished, and well-kept hotel room, especially for the price. The property is lovely and there's a good restaurant. Also, the Homestead's warm springs are across the street, making it easy to access one of the area's noteworthy attractions."

"We loved Love Ridge Mountain Lodge, we stayed at the Kennedy Ridge! It was clean and well kept! Communication was great with the owners and everything is available in the home! Very peaceful and relaxing! We even met Chester! The property cat, she is loving and hung out with us for a bit! Awesome experience, if you are visiting or from Virginia we recommend the lodge! "

"This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely young couple who were a delight to talk to. I had numerous questions before we arrived and they were answered promptly. The rooms were clean and charming. The history of the building is fascinating and there was a lot of literature on hand about the area. The breakfast was delicious, a recipe from the owner's grandmother who was also the previous owner. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!"

"My wife and I stayed here in May 2025. We loved it, and would definitely stay here again, if we were in the area. The inn itself was great, but Martha (the hostess) was the real highlight of this place. She was very welcoming, and certainly had a servant's heart. The breakfast she made was outstanding. And the cookies were delicious, too! The room we stayed in was very good (including the bathroom), and we loved sitting on the front porch during our first night there. The view of the mountains...

"I did enjoy my stay here. If you can find it in your heart to overlook the very scary driveway that gets you to the property, you will enjoy it, too. The room was clean. The owners were nice. It is a very relaxing place to spend the night. You have to enjoy the rustic setting, though: squeaky wood floors and the old cabin smell. Also, no TV or WiFi. I would go back again, though."
