"The staff at Hotel Ostria were so pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed our short stay. The breakfast was plentiful and continental. The hotel is located right across the road from the beach with many bars and tavernas in short walking distance. We also walked into Kalamata centre which took about 20 minutes. "Quiet and secluded. The view of the mountains reminded me of the Smokey Mountains. All the rooms are facing the mountains and either have a patio or deck with a small table and chairs. This family run business was very friendly and helpful. The property was a bit hard to find in the village but once located we were able to find it again and again very easily. "The website offers a country spa hotel. Spa was a small jacuzzi ina dingy underground space. Just the owner came down from Athens, website showing constant availability does not reflect clientele (we were only guests) also no outside space, or garden with sun loungers etc one would expect for double the price of any other places nearby.
