Upon arrival, the front desk staff told me that the room was not ready yet because they were still preparing it, and asked me to wait. I waited for about 30 minutes and checked again, but was told it was still not ready. After waiting for over an hour in total, I asked again, and only then was I informed that the room was actually undergoing maintenance.​This was clearly inconsistent with what I had been told...

"Close to one of the Hawaiian Heritage National parks. The island only about a 2 1/2 hr drive from Kona to Hilo so easy to epwrience the different climatic conditions on the island. The resort was well kept and had good security. The unit was roomy and had an expansive balcony porch for alfresco eating or just enjoying the view and listening to the birds. Decor style is a little dated, but in good condition. Although on the far edge of Kona, it was within walking distance to a small shopping...
