Desert Star Retreat

The Desert Star Retreat is your go to home with adjacent retreat space for a beautiful, peaceful, inspiring stay in the high desert town of Yucca Valley! Surrounded by breathtaking views, the property is adjacent to scenic preserve land with it's own hiking trails and all the amazing flora and fauna of the high desert. Come, stay, relax, be inspired and be rejuvenated!
The space
Newly remodeled and freshly furnished, the DSH has 2 buildings on the property, the house and the 'Outer Space'. The house has 2 bedrooms, and a den (with a full size futon), plus 2 bathrooms. The kitchen in the house is fully equipped and opens into the dining area. The living room and dining area are also connected creating a harmonious, gathering space.

The Outer Space has its own bedroom and bathroom, plus a large open room (Jupiter room) that is perfect for larger group gatherings or holding events and retreats. (The laundry room is in the Outer Space and is available to guests.) Between the living room in the house and the Jupiter room in the Outer Space, there are 3 additional sleeper sofas, so the DSH can easily and comfortably accommodate up to 8 people.

There is a patio space with an 8 person dining table outside the Outer Space building. The carport is at the far end of the Outer Space building with a level 2 EV charger conveniently located on the wall.

Last, but not least, there is a 4 person Jacuzzi hot tub next to the patio area (at the end of the carport). (Please read the instructions for removing the cover and operating the Jacuzzi before using it. The instructions are located in the Jupiter room and in the guest book.)

In addition to the carport there is parking for many more cars in the open area right in front of the house.

Finally, the gazebo on the hill above the house (1 minute walk) offers stunning views where one can see the taller mountains in Joshua Tree National Park.
Guest access
All rooms and buildings are accessible to the guests.

The Desert Star Retreat is dedicated to providing a quiet, peaceful space, where a family or group can get away, relax and enjoy the beauty of the desert. Please, no loud parties, and no loud music.
