"Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden. Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning)."

"We booked a studio for two nights which was on 1/F and clean. A bottle of milk and some cakes were offered, which tasted good. We could park in the driveway or on the street. We visited the Four Waterfalls and hiked to the Pen y Fan along the horse shoe route, both spots were within 30 minutes of drive. Tesco and restaurants were just within a few minutes."

"The hotel could be amazing but unfortunately it is now dated and needs to be refurbished. The standard twin room does not have an overhead shower and the room was dated and shabby. There was no bottled water as stated either. The room was also very hot and they do not provide fans as standard. The pool is lovely but does need a little TLC and the showers in the changing rooms are extremely hot. As is the general temperature of the changing rooms. "This place needs some really attention. The lock for the door pin was missing. Frame around the door near the latch it looked as someone must have tried to brake in or who knows. Ceiling has seing better days.. the room has no aircon which is fair enough, but leavening windows for air circulation the were some drink people on the square and you could hear them..I think I will stop now complaining as there are way to many things need looking"

"Sadly I think when we went there were less staff than required and a few things were going wrong on that day. Our rooms were not ready as the linen hadn’t arrived - but gave us a free bottle of wine for dinner to compensate so happy with that. Next day but more of a major issue! No water when it came to having a shower in the middle of the day. They did provide another room after 30mins of back and forth with reception as out in house phone didn’t work! "Outstanding experience in every way. Lovely ambience, comfortable rooms (with a large desk, should you need to catch up on some work), helpful and courteous staff. Beautiful food from the restaurant too. Next time I am in Cardiff, I’ll be sure to book again."
