INSIDE YOSEMITE PARK! Cozy, Peaceful

This sunny, family-friendly home is inside Yosemite National Park.
It is about 13 miles to the Valley, and only 7 miles away from Badger Pass ski area.

This home is a duplex, the upstairs is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit and the lower unit is a 1 bedroom 1 bath unit.

There is no reliable cell phone service in this area or at our home. We have limited internet with WiFi. We have a video library.

The driveway to this home has a short steep approach and is narrow. You must be able to back up when exiting but if you go slow it is quite doable.

The parking lot has a narrow, one-way entrance that accommodates 3 cars total. This unit only includes 1 parking space.
To ensure smooth parking for everyone, please communicate with guests from the other unit when needed.

There are 20+ stairs leading up to the entrance of the unit. Please take this into consideration if mobility is a concern.

Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your meals - we have a gas range, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. In addition,
we have a smart TV.
This quiet location offers a peaceful respite from the rest of the park visitors, and is a great place to relax.

In serious need of repairs for kitichen sink, steps to front door, kitchen table. Cleanliness of kitchen was lacking. Very disappointed from property description on posting.

The location is great if you're looking to avoid the crowds of Yosemite Village, but the house was a big disappointment. It was dirty, with mold and peeling paint in the bathroom, filthy carpets and floors, and no dishwasher despite what the listing showed. Most of the dishes were dirty, and the BBQ was unusable because it was so filthy. The furniture and beds were very uncomfortable, and the porch wasn’t nearly as cozy as the photos made it look. Several stair treads were rotten and felt unsafe. We ended up leaving early and booking a hotel. This place needs a deep clean and basic repairs. It's not worth the nightly rate.

Property was inside Yosemite. 30 minute (16 mile) drive. It had what was needed and was nice to stay in. The property could use some TLC to make it ‘feel’ cleaner.

Perfect little getaway amongst the pines

Great location, easy check in/out process and clean. Parking is a bit tight and being a downstairs unit was hit or miss. Our first few nights, the guests upstairs were quiet but the last night they were a little more active at night

In general, this place is decent. It's located inside the park, about 30 minutes away from the Valley. It is pretty clean and provides most of things needed for a couple of nights. When we needed coffee and more kitchen towel, I texted the staff and she dropped them off quickly. It's a bit pricey but I guess most properties inside the park during the summer over the weekend are probably similar.

Good stay for the money

Location is the gem, super close to Valley and far from all the madness. Even the place is asking for the renovation, but looks clean and neat. The owner made sure we have everything and was very responsive.

Size was perfect for us but the unit was overpriced. Faucet in kitchen was loud and the toilet rumbled and shook the floor when flushed. Could hear the guests walking upstairs. Location was great though - we loved staying inside the park. Limited allot of extra driving. Would have been nice to have a keurig for convenience.

Ideal stay within Yosemite park

Lisa’s property is located about 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley. VRBO provides detailed instructions so far as directions and accessing and using the property. It is in nice condition aside from a couple of funky faucets that could use a plumber’s attention. We found it very comfortable and well furnished. Everything works and Lisa provided all the linens, plates, cooking supplies etc we needed. She is extremely responsive. We mentioned needing a couple of items and adjustment of the heat and all was taken care of promptly. I highly recommend this rental property!!!

Great hiking base...

Conveniently located in Yosemite West only 25-30 minutes from the valley. Property was comfortable with everything one needs for meals and a hot shower (water pressure great) after a long day of hiking. A bit too small to 'hang out' obviously, but that's not why you're visiting Yosemite, right? Very easy to hear neighbors, both next door and above... Host was very communicative and helped me work through a last second logistical challenge. Very much appreciated. Pricey yes, and might be a bit crowded for more than three people, but then again you need to pay for the convenience of being so close to the park...

Too expensive for what it offers

This is not a bad little apartment, but at (the rate we were charged per night) it is WAY too expensive for what it offers. The number that is listed as the “average” rate would be better, but still pricey. The photos, which were likely taken some years ago, make it seem bigger than it is. This is a TINY apartment, underneath a larger house that needs new paint etc. The walls are thin, so you hear everything going on upstairs. The TV upstairs is apparently located directly above the bed downstairs, making it hard to sleep if upstairs is occupied. We woke up when our neighbors got up at 5 am - it was loud like they were in our kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, it was not well-equipped when we arrived: only a couple pots/pans, no lids, main pan was a scratched up Teflon pan that no one should use (Teflon is highly toxic if you get it in your food). The other small pan was dirty, I had to scrub it before using. There were just a few cups, bowls, and plates, none of them matching. If you stay here, you likely will not hang out, you’ll just sleep here and eat breakfast. Parking is very limited. We addressed all of these issues with the owner, and she refused to refund to an amount which would be more appropriate for the offering. On the positive side, the apartment was clean and warm and had hot water, and it is in a nice neighborhood close to Yosemite Valley. In summary, it is a fine place for sleeping between Yosemite adventures - at the right price. At the rate we were charged, it feels like price gouging, especially off-season.
