Short stay at Foss Bridge

Lovely 2 bed flat with spacious double rooms. Sitting room and kitchen both comfortable and had all the things we needed. Bathroom was attractive and clean. Great location on the river and walking distance to all usual sites.

This spacious apartment was just a short walk from amenities.. very useful for nipping into M&S food hall.. it was spotlessly clean and well equipped apart from a colander to wash salad etc. would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment super close to The Shambles, Merchant Adventurers Hall, Jorvik Viking Center & many other places to visit in York. There are a few things people should know before booking: there is no A/C. When we arrived the apartment was warm due to an odd streak of very hot days, so we shut all the curtains & left until night when we could open the windows to let it cool off inside. So if having AC is important, so just know if it gets hot, you can call the property owner and they will have a very nice person come bring you a fan to help cool off a room. Another thing is the combination washer/dryer takes about 5 hours to do a small load of laundry and dry it. So don't wait until your last night there like we did thinking you will be able to do 2 loads of laundry before checking out in the morning bc you won't have time to do a second load. We started a load at 7 pm and at midnight it was still drying and we couldn't wait up so we went to bed and never had a chance to wash the 2nd load before we had to check out. That was a bit disappointing bc we chose this apartment over a hotel bc we wanted to only pack a week's worth of clothes then wash them to wear for the 2nd week of our trip. Last but not least, the front bedroom facing the street should only be used by adults as it literally sits walking level on a main street and people tried to peer in the window during the day & night and sat on the outside of the window talking late at night.

Enjoyable time

We had a great stay at Foss Bridge Apartment and would recommend it! The location is fantastic with most things a 10 minute walk from the apartment including supermarkets and a great selection of restaurants. The apartment itself is cozy and bright and worked well for us! Overall, a great place to stay in a fun city!

A great place to stay

Hello The house we stayed in was clean and tidy and had the necessary equipment in the kitchen, the only problem for us was that the inside of the house was visible to passers-by because the windows were low, so we had to keep the blinds closed. If a tulle curtain was placed on the windows to let the light through, the guests would be able to see outside and the light would enter the house. It also protects you from the curious glances of passers-by, Thank you
