Relax in total comfort in this beautiful brand new home with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a stunning view of the Lewis and Clark Lake and it’s grand Chalkstone Bluffs in Yankton, SD. A perfect location for family get-togethers or single family use. Enjoy coffee on the deck while watching the boats sail by or relax on the cozy couch by the fireplace. Within walking distance of the L&C Marina as well as walking and bike paths along the water’s edge. Book your next vacation at The Lake House.

The Space

Brand new open concept house located within walking distance of the Lewis and Clark Lake and Recreation Area.
Master Bedroom: King bed with down alternative comforters with lake view and door to upper covered deck.
The master bathroom has a large shower with body spray options and a large free-standing soaker tub.
Bedroom 2 and 3: queen bed with down alternative comforters with a garden view of evergreens
Bedroom 4 and 5: queen bed with down alternative comforters, lake view, and patio door access to outdoor patio
Bedroom 6: 2 bunk beds with full bed and twin bed on each (total 4 beds) each with down alternative comforter.
Media game bonus room - with room for air mattress.
Main floor -Upper patio has an expansive view of the lake and it’s cliffs from sunrise to sunset. On a clear night, the stars are abundant. Enjoy your early morning coffee and evening drink while relaxing in the outdoor sectional. You may just want to sleep outside one evening.
The lower patio provides a grill for grilling your favorite burgers or marinated steak.
Enjoy family seating for 8 on the outdoor patio table.
When the evening closes, choose your well-appointed bedrooms to rest up for your adventures the next morning.
All king and queen bedrooms have a 50” flat screen smart TV.
There is a large open concept kitchen/family room on the main floor with an electric linear fireplace and 70” flat screen smart tv.
Downstairs is a large family room with a 70” flat screen smart tv, wet bar, pub table with seating for 6, and pool table.
Under the stairs is a hidden door to the playhouse for the little ones.

House Rules:

-No pets
-No smoking in the house or anywhere on the property.
-Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am
- Parties or events are not allowed.
-There are 4 security cameras around the outside of the house. Three for the front driveway and one for the lower back patio.

Check in...

Check-in time is 4 pm.

Things you will find at the house.

An initial supply of:
-Toilet paper
-Paper towels
-Dishwashing, laundry, and liquid hand soap
-Dishwasher tabs.
-Trash bags
-Propane for Gas BBQ

Amenities include:
-Washer & Dryer.
-Gas BBQ: please clean if you use it.
-Free WiFi
-Streaming television on smart T.V's. ( you will need to use your own personal accounts)
-Xbox One with a few games.
-One set of bed linens per bed/advertised sleeper. Beds will be made with fresh linens.
-One set of bath towels per person (a set is one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth).
-Shampoo and Conditioner are provided but not body soap.
-Beach towels - please do not take white towels to the beach. Use the beach towels provided.

Check out is at 10:00 am.

Things we'd appreciate your helping us out with upon departure.

-Check out by 10:00 am unless you have an approved late check-out
-Please leave our home and grounds in the same general condition in which you found them.
-Wash dishes and/or run the dishwasher
-Leave beds UNMADE
-If you use a throw blanket, please place it on the bed with bedding
-Please start a load of white towels in the washing machine
-Remove all food brought with you.
-Sweep the floors
-Pick up all trash on grounds outside
- Please clean the outside grill if you use it
-Take out the trash
-If you use the smart T.V.’s with your personal accounts, please be sure to sign them out. We will not be held responsible for these accounts.

Family time

The house was beautiful with a great view. Our family includes 3 generations. Thankfully the kids commandeered the downstairs especially the play area under the stairs. The kitchen was well equipped. We spent time at the lake fishing, swimming and renting a pontoon.

Wonderful stay

We booked this house for a little get together for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The communication with the renters was wonderful, the house was so comfortable and beautiful. We will be renting again when we make our way to town!

Travel Group

We are friends (6 couples) who have traveled together every couple of years for a long time. The Yankton trip was an awesome experience, as we ate, drank, talked, laughed, and boated! Family Reunion during Dead Week

What a wonderful place to stay to celebrate with our kids and grandkids. All 16 of us enjoyed the stay. With individuals from the ages of 2 to 78, each could have both the space for themselves and for lots of conversations. The "Littles" enjoyed the secret room! The owner was very receptive to our needs including keeping us cool in the very hot weather!

Great place

The property was very clean, well maintained, and up to date. There was even a nice gathering area in the garage which worked well during the rain we received while we were there and couldn't be outside. We had plenty of room for everyone and still offered privacy when you wanted it. The Wi-Fi had interrupted service during the rainstorm that came thru, once it stopped raining all worked well again. The 2 patio areas were very nice and we were able to set up a small pool for the grandkids on the lower one which worked well since there was no yard for them to play in. The host was quick to respond to our questions and when asked about mosquito candles for the yard we were told none were available but when we arrived it had been stocked with these items along with bud spray. We enjoyed our stay at the Lake House and would love to return again in the future!

The Lake House

What a beautiful home in a super location. Finding a home for 16 people to have a family gathering, but this home is absolutely perfect. Very comfortable with areas for smaller groups to meet but spacious enough for all 16 to be together. Very well equipped...cant think of anything that wasnt provided.

Another good family gathering

Our family has rented this house on 3 separate occasions over the past several years. The house is very pretty, spacious, well-furnished and appointed. Everything is in good condition, and the property works well for an informal family gathering consisting of mostly retirement-age folks. It is a good location and indeed has a very nice view. My family, in general, are quite pleased with the house and are happy to travel here. Having a town like Yankton nearby is also a plus, providing good retail and lovely city parks, etc. However, I tend to cast a more critical eye. Some additional observations: • The TV continues to be an ongoing source of puzzlement. Even the more tech-oriented younger types can barely get it operating. It took about an hour just to pull up a Monday night football game and the same for a Thursday night football game. If you have something important that you need to be watching, well, best wishes. Or maybe just watch it on your computer. The TV has behaved this way on all three of our visits. • To repeat, the view from the spacious front deck is very nice, but the highway noise doesn’t die off until about 8pm. • Despite attempts to regulate the house temperatures via the dual thermostats, the air conditioner (stubbornly) ran at nights to a temperature of 66 degrees. You could hang salmon in the basement and it would take a few weeks to spoil. If we cant override the programming t

Family reunion

It was absolutely amazing. No complaints from anyone. There was plenty of space and there were numerous compliments on the house , it’s amenities and the view that made the whole experience great. Our own kids would like to come yearly if available. The other extended family would like to come back in a few years and try it again

Amazing lake house

We had a family get together my son and his family live in Davis SD myself and my sister and our parents all met at this amazing home. Everything was perfect. We have never experienced such a well equipped home. Everything was thought of and more. We enjoyed the view. Had s’mores. The kids saw the turkeys and the deer and they loved playing in the secret room. We will definitely be returning in the future.
