Be transcended into the tranquil harmony of Honoka House. Incredible views and contemporary Asian influenced design will transcend you into tranquil harmony. The Japanese aesthetic of simplicity and minimalism set the stage to highlight the spectacular bird's-eye-view of the crashing waves and the Yachats River below. Enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove in the sunken conversation area, while sipping a glass of Oregon Pinot. Have a soak in the hot tub and look for whales or watch the sun set over the horizon line as the lights of our quaint village come on for the evening below. This impressive sanctuary is steps away from anything you want to do!

This Zen-like residence sleeps 8 guests with 3+ bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Nurture yourself with a soak in the oversized jetted tub with skylights above comfortably located adjacent to the primary bedroom. The sitting area off of the primary bedroom can be used as an extra sleeping area with the twin trundle bed. In the main living area, enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove in the sunken conversation area. Create sweet memories in the kitchen, while appreciating the lovely view of the ocean and terraced yard.
Open the windows and listen to the melodic sound of birdsong mixed with the pleasant scent of the sea air. Whether you want a romantic getaway or a family bonding experience, this harmonious retreat is sure to please.

Vehicles: Licensed for 3 (strictly enforced- No street parking)

Our host was very welcoming but difficult to reach. Sweet homes relied on messages. Their tel number always seemed to answer with recorded messages. Kitchen was well supplied with pots and pans. Overall amenities were very comfortable such as living room and kitchen dining area. We used them for dining and games. View from the dining room window could be improved if the overgrown shrubs were pruned. A light bulb is missing over the dining table and master bathroom sink is missing a stopper. Please share these comments with sweet homes manager/ owner. Our detailed comments are intended to help them improve the home. R C Vasavada

It was a great house to fit our family comfortably. The house and location was beautiful. I really loved how well the house was stocked with kitchen utensils to cook at the house. The hottub was immaculate. The only negative was the dishwasher looked pretty moldy. But a great place to stay. Thank you.

The view was amazing! The home was well equipped and comfortable. There was plenty of space to hang out and relax. The wrap around windows and decks were just incredible. We were even able to watch a gray whale feeding off of the coast right from the living room! Hosts available for any concerns or questions.

Great house and location

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home and would not hesitate to return. Great views and easy walk to town and beach.There were minor problems with home when we arrived but I notified the manager and he took note of the problems. For example, in master bedroom a dresser drawer was broken off and tile in front of a toilet was broken). Regarding cleanliness, the only reason I gave it a 4 star is the kitchen rug needed cleaning and there were existing stains on carpet but otherwise the house was clean and comfortable. Check in and access was easy but I suggest getting rid of the on-line questionnaire that is part of check in. It asked redundant questions about the number of cars, people, rules, etc, of which I had already signed a contract about. I found this a completely annoying way to begin our vacation. Also, a physical "in house notebook"about the house would have been preferable to me having to share the info with everyone via my phone. Oh, one last thing, the dryer squeals really loudly when running. We tried to use the dryer the last day, which is where we found the hotpads and kitchen towels. We had wondered why there were no hot pads or kitchen towels provided!--Mystery solved.Given fixing these minor problems the house would have received 5 stars on all accounts. Thanks!

Convenient location and spacious home

This house is lovely, spacious and well equipped and our 4 young adult grandkids really enjoyed staying here where we could easily walk to the water, restaurants or wander through the little shops in town. They also enjoyed staying in and playing ping pong and foosball. Unfortunately, I was less comfortable. I hadn't realized how used to hard-surface floors I have become, Previous guests have not been conscientious about cleaning up their spills on this home's lovely cream wall--to-wall carpet and there were quite a few stains. The other discomfort for me was the dishwasher because there was mold inside it which was really gross for me, and I felt I had to hand wash the dishes before using them. I sincerely hope you address these issues because it really is a lovely home.

Zen atmosphere / zen experience!

This was our family’s second stay at Honoka house, and we had another lovely and relaxing week. The arrival atmosphere is very inviting with lighting, soundscape, and incidental design.This house is so pleasant, spacious, and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in for occasional inclement weather. It’s a perfect place to unwind, read a book, listen to music, meditate, regroup, and soak up fresh air and sunshine. The beds and linens are comfortable; the house is well stocked with towels; there’s enough space indoors and across several decks to be as private and separate as you wish. Hot tub, fridge, small and large appliances, electric heaters, showers, garage door, electronic lock, wifi, and entertainment system worked great; the dishwasher struggled and could use some maintenance. Nearly every room has a beautiful view (and sound!) of the ocean and Yachats cove. The walk to town and the water is pleasant, though people with physical limitations might struggle with the steepness of the street and navigating the three flights of interior stairs. Great tide pooling in Yachats! Beware that the kitchen is not stocked with pantry staples apart from salt, pepper, and coffee filters, but Yachats has a grocery store and a well-stocked dollar store, as well as a variety of restaurants and eateries. Lots of interesting books on the shelves. To boot, our dog was happy, and we love the secure, enclosed yard.

Great stay in Yachats

This property was perfect for our family trip to celebrate my Fathers birthday. The home was very comfortable and well furnished, the views were gorgeous, and the backyard was perfect for our dog. Would definitely recommend!

3 Generation Family Weekend

We enjoyed the ocean views and being close to downtown Yachats. For the most part, the house worked well for our extended family. There were only two negatives. One was the musty odor, which was probably the result of allowing pets in a carpeted house.(I have allergies). The other was that we couldn't use the hot tub because the old cover had absorbed so much rainwater that it was too heavy for us to lift.

great views and location

We liked the location, near Yachats stores and restaurants, and the views are spectacular. Close drive to many beautiful natural areas. We wished the kitchen had been bigger and better equipped. It was a tight squeeze to unload the dishwasher into cupboards that opened awkwardly. If you didn't need to use the kitchen much or had smaller group (We had 7) it would be fine. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice, but the beds were uncomfortable. Living areas worked well. We appreciated being able to bring our well behaved dogs.

Great vacation home for families

We stayed there for a few days with family from both sides. Wonderful experience. Clean. Great kitchen that is fully stocked with all the equipment you need for cooking. The view is incredible and absolutely relaxing. It felt luxurious. Thank you so much!

Beautiful view

The house was beautiful and the view was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would like to say that if you are elderly this might not be the place for you. We’re all in our mid 60’s and we did fine but there’s a lot of steps in the house. I really enjoyed the outside deck, listening to the ocean waves and the birdsong.
