Nestled on a quiet 184-acre fishing lake, this 610 sq. ft. 2-bedroom, 1-bath retreat features an open floor plan and sleeps up to 5 guests. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a twin bunk (with two twin beds), and there is a foldout chair (that transforms into a twin bed) in the living room. The property is private and fully furnished, including all kitchen and bathroom essentials, a washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, an iron and compact ironing board, and a starter set of toiletries/linens. There is also a compact work desk available, as well a a travel crib and high chair.

Step outside to a spacious patio with stunning lakefront views, a fire-pit area perfect for evening gatherings (pick up some wood from the local Trading Post), and direct access to your private aluminum dock. Swim in the water, fish from the dock or go kayaking (3 kayaks & paddles included) in the amazing crystal clear waters of Pretty Lake (https://prettylake.org). Pool noodles, life jackets, a charcoal grill, and a kids swing are all included. As an added bonus, ask the host if you're interested in renting a small sailboat (O'Day Sprite 10) or a pontoon for an additional fee.

Please note that due to being in a rural area, cell phone signal is very poor. The best way to make and receive phone calls/text messages at this property is by connecting to the Wi-Fi and enabling internet calling on your cell phone. Also, streaming services are the only TV options, and there is an Amazon Fire TV Stick attached to the 42 inch television and connected to the Wi-Fi for easy streaming.

If you'd like to explore the nearby area, there are many nature preserves and natural areas nearby, including Maple Wood Nature Preserve, Pokagon State Park, and Chain O’ Lakes State Park, amongst others. In addition to enjoying the serene atmosphere of Pretty Lake (with a 10 mph speed limit), you can also take advantage of Big Long Lake's Public Access Launch (only a 2 min drive from the cottage), which is an all-sports lake. Cooking at the cottage is a breeze, but if you enjoy eating out there are several excellent local restaurants, including the family-friendly Shady Nook Inn Restaurant (a 5 min drive from the cottage).
