"Great food and drinks and a beautiful setting in the mountains. The room was clean and all we needed for a unique stay in the mountains away from everything. The hosts were lovely and our boys loved the mountain biking experience and being able to hire from the lodge. Thank you Porters Lodge for being so accomodating! "

Only 2 of us. Comfy bed, nice deck, Night time star gazing was amazing, got fantastic photos of the Milky Way, just with my eye phone. Wish we could have stayed longer, it was a wonderful experience.

"Outstanding pub with great food and really high quality accommodation at backpacker budget prices. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Methven is a delightful small town in the shadow of Mt. Hutt. Plenty of good places to eat. 100% recommendation for The Brown Pub."
