No. 81 Tower Street ~ Designer's Townhouse has light rooms with high ceilings and original features. The interior is an oasis of calm, sympathetically restored with a quiet palette of colours and some quirky touches. The house is nestled down a quiet side street within the city centre.

Superbly refurbished period town house situated in the heart of the city within easy walking distance on the mainline railway.

Highly attractive period house with well proportioned accommodation behind a pretty Victorian façade set back from the street with a pretty front garden.

Situated within moments of the High Street, railway station, Theatre Royal, bars and restaurants is this quality City dwelling.

The property has been lovingly restored and is presented in excellent order throughout to a high quality finish.

There are 3 bedrooms with a further double sofa bed in the living room.

The property has been modernised whilst retaining many features resplendent of the period, including delightful ceiling mouldings, fireplaces, original sash windows and the traditional panelled doors. Additional features have been added in keeping with the period.

The shaker style kitchen is fitted with a fridge freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and cooker.

A contemporary bathroom with white suite, separate bath and shower and limestone tiling.

It’s known for medieval Winchester Cathedral, with its 17th-century Morley Library, the Winchester Bible and a Norman crypt. Cleaning
The house is fully serviced and will be cleaned weekly, with a change of linen and towels included.

Bin day is every Thursday with alternate recycling and grey bins. Composting waste collection on the same day as the grey household waste bin. All bins are stored in the front garden.

Child/Baby Friendly
Children and babies are welcome. The house is equipped with baby/child friendly items including safety gates, children's toys, books, DVD's, baby alarm, stair gate and high chair. Please let us know in advance to fit the stair gate, provide a high chair and or travel cot.

Free Wifi is available as well as a smart Samsung TV in the living room with BT Vision/You View and DVD player. Digital radios are provided in all three bedrooms and the kitchen.

OUR NEW CLEANING PROCEDURES FOR COVID-19

Our cleaning staff are the first people to access the property after a guest has stayed, so we first need to make sure that they are safe from infection.

We keep up to date with information by recognised health organisations The World Health Organisation and the NHS so we can keep ourselves updated with how the disease is spread and effectively protect our cleaners and our guests at all times.

Our cleaning staff wear disposable gloves throughout a whole property clean as well as taking all the steps below to help slow down and prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our properties.

1. Our priority is safety, not efficiency.

2. Using disinfectant, our cleaners wipe down high touch points such as light switches, lamps, cupboard handles, door handles, window latches, banisters, remote controls, and thermostats as it is extremely likely that a previous guest touched these points during their stay.

3. We put all cutlery, crockery and cooking implements through the dishwasher again whether it has been used or not. This limits cross infection from touching items even if they weren’t used.

4. We continue to disinfect high-contamination sites such as the toilet, basin, shower and bath, and rubbish bin and any toilet brushes.

Pretty house with a delightful back garden

This house is delightful and has a cared-for garden that is a pleasure to sit in when it’s not raining. The house was bang in the middle of Winchester and great for access to the Harestock side of the town. Parking would have been a nightmare without the Ringo app (foreigners beware), because there is essentially no on street parking and you have to pay a small overnight fee for the large garage a few meters away. Close to station so if you are doing a weekend and don’t need to leave town this would be perfect. House was well equipped, but the bathroom was a nightmare. Why not remove the bath and have a nice big shower? 2 inadequate showers in one room and a minuscule unventilated toilet in a cupboard under the stairs really let the place down. Hosts were great and flexible and overall this was the nicest place we have stayed in Winchester (4th time using VRBO).

Great house and location

Warm greeting at the property and everything in the house explained. Very clean and every home comfort provided for with quality linens and super beds. Located in the centre of Winchester and very short stroll to restaurants, shops and station. Pretty enclosed garden. Would recommend without any hesitation.
