About this space
Kick back and relax in the heart of Texas Hill Country. This space is the perfect combination of peace and tranquility while maintaining a short distance to several hotspots, including wineries and breweries and a less than 10 min. drive to eclectic downtown Wimberley.

The house is 10-acre property w/ chickens, ducks, deer and wild turkeys. You will have a private area for star gazing, an evening fire and nature trails to explore.
The space
The house a mother-in-law suite connected to the main house (there are no shared walls, it is adjacently connected to the house). You will have privacy and peace and quiet. The space is best for 1-2 people looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway in the hill country. There are several sitting areas around the space, including a gazebo, hammock, 2 fire pits and a dry creek that runs through the backyard. There is also and additional 6 acres at the top of the property where you can wander around or sit under a big oak tree.
Guest access
Guests have access to their airbnb unit, as well as any outdoor seating areas. We ask you do not enter the garage, main house or shed.

Great location. My husband loved it. Animals were great to watch. Especially with morning coffee. Fires at night are always our thing. The tub needs a nonslip mat it. Very slippery. Washer and dryer needs to be taken off the listing if it can't be used.Solar light is bright coming trough the door at night. It needs a curtain or something for the light sleepers that stay.All in all we didn't want to leave

Check-in was very easy. Clean and equipped well. The property was pretty cool with the Alpacas, just kind of a rough road getting to it. All in all it was good! We would likely stay again if we can get the yurt

Our 25th Anniversary Getaway

We absolutely LOVED our stay! The place was very private yet cozy and very welcoming. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We definitely recommend this place. It was a very nice place to disconnect for a couple of days. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. That always helps. Don't think twice, just book it. You deserve it!

Immersed in the beauty of nature

The highlight of our stay was feeding the llamas and alpacas and spending time with the ducks and chickens. We woke up to the sound of the birds chirping and surrounded by all these beautiful trees. The room was beautifully decorated and the hosts had a very informative welcoming booklet on the property and what to do in wimberley. The only reason why I m not giving this place a 5 stars is because we couldn’t get into the property right away when we arrived. We had trouble figuring out the passcode that we were given and after maybe 30 to 45 minutes of standing in the cold trying to get into the property, we send a message via the Vrbo app to the property manager who thankfully got back to us right away and we were able to get inside the room.unfortunately the property didn’t have a closet or maybe it did but it was locked and there was no drinking water but we used a kettle to boil water. Overall we had a great experience at this very unique and special place to stay.

Perfectly Peaceful

This was by far the most peaceful place we have stayed. We were surrounded by beautiful chickens, llamas, alpacas, ducks and deer. We couldn’t hear the sounds of bustling city life (we are from New Braunfels) and loved the sounds of nature. The owners were very kind and kept to themselves but did take the time to introduce us to their livestock. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks. The house looks just like the posting. It was very quaint and clean. Perfect for a couple getaway but yet close enough to Wimberly to enjoy the shops and restaurants.

Great Country Style Stay!

Communication with the owner was excellent. The cabin was comfy and walking the grounds to see the animals was fun too! We loved that the location was very near downtown Wimberly! Next time I go to Wimberly, "Alpaca my bags" and stay here again!

A little country

A beautiful retreat!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The place was clean, filled with amenities that made the space homey and the property was stunning. The hosts brought fresh firewood and starters bc it had rained. Such a kind gesture. We will be booking this place again.

Quiet and comfortable

Nice people and a clean, quiet place to relax after tour running around in Wimberley. Located 5 miles from Wimberley, off of a little bit bumpy rock road of about 1-1/4 mile to the room. Great star watching at night and friendly ducks and owners. Recommend.

Mini Roadtrip

This was the perfect spot for me and my sister. We just needed some time away to relax and take a Mini road trip to the hill country. This is a very quaint private serene place. Perfect for what we were looking for to relax have a glass of wine at night by the fire. This is a cute getaway spot to enjoyed nature and nearby wineries.

Cozy one night stay in the hill country

My husband and I attended a wedding in the area and needed a place to stay for the night and this rental was perfect! We loved the comfortable bedding and easy check in/access to the property. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but loved that they had one! Would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area 👍🏻

Secluded Getaway

This place was down a dirt road and out of the way. The night sky was brilliant. Craig, the owner was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was nice and cool. It had everything you needed for a night’s stay. In the morning, we had coffee outside and enjoyed the morning sounds and breeze. Would come back again!
