Cascata Villa pushes past the white sands on the southern shores of Little Exuma, creating a natural oasis and bringing vibrant colour and life to the mangrove beyond.

    This natural pool of crystal blue water ebbs and flows with the tides over acres of white sand, and is home to exotic sea life just waiting to be explored. The locals will tell you that this oasis is among the most beautiful places on the island.

    There are many places in Exuma from which you can experience the beauty of the ocean but there are few that allow you to embrace it like Cascata Villa. Whether the winds and tides are high or low, young and old can bask in this protected haven.

    This airy, spacious 3100 square foot home comprised of a main house, two adjoining one-bedroom cabanas, and a newly built two bedroom cabana with cathedral ceilings comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests (mix of adults/ children). A large, partially covered 2000 square foot deck contains the outdoor kitchen and lounge area wrapping around the Infinity pool, offers plenty of outdoor relaxation opportunities, and a breathtaking view and direct access to the sheltered beach, lagoon, coral reefs, and the crystal blue ocean.

Everything you need to relax on the beach, float in the pool, explore the coastline, snorkel, kayak, and experience the amazing beauty, wildlife, and pristine waters is waiting for you at Cascata Villa.

    There are many places in Exuma from which you can experience the beauty of the ocean but there are few that allow you to experience the privacy of Cascata Villa. The locals will tell you that this oasis is among the most beautiful places on the island. On a 120-ft. soft, white, powdery sand beach hugging a tranquil tidal inlet, it is safe, beautiful, and steps to a reef, the ocean, and nearby beaches.


    What makes this property unique?

    Spacious living area, comfy beds with pillow-top mattresses, all linens, appliances, and more. 2,000 foot outdoor deck, 15 x 30 ft Infinity pool. Step off the deck to the beach, and beyond. A/C throughout. Full size generator to ensure power. Entire water system is Reverse Osmosis filtered. 5 sea kayaks (4 single, 1 double), snorkel equipment onsite, beach toys. Pre-stocking groceries, boat excursions and private chef services can be arranged.

Holiday Family Vacation

This property is in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed the views, the pool, playing on the beach at low tide and kayaking all around the lazy river back to the lagoon. It was so private and relaxing. The cabanas off of the pool were perfect for our adult kids to stay in allowing privacy for all!

Perfect family vacation, for all ages

The house is lovely and spacious and the location is perfection. Grandchildren ages 2 to 14 all enjoyed the pool, the beach, the lagoon, kayaks, snorkeling, and generally hanging out. The property manager Judy was extremely helpful is arranging rental cars, stocking groceries, arranging a dinner, and generally handling everything for us.

What a lovely home. This house has everything you could want. We loved the natural lazy river, the pool, the kayaks, the sunrise over the ocean, the master bedroom suites, and the well appointed kitchen, the proximity to Tropic of Cancer beach, and the privacy. Incredibly beautiful and peaceful!

First, let me say that we never wanted to leave! The home is spacious and welcoming, the cabanas were great, and the view was good for the soul! The lazy river is perfect for kids of all ages to hang out and explore. The owners were very responsive, as was the property manager, Judy. We also rented vehicles from Judy, which was super easy. Our boat tour booked with Theo Gray was phenomenal! Tip: Download WhatsApp before you go to communicate easily with locals. Then just enjoy paradise!

This property was perfect for my husband and I, our two adult children and their spouses, 1 yr old grandbaby and great grandma. Serene and spacious. The two separate casitas were perfect to give our kids privacy. We loved kayaking in the mangroves, snorkeling outside of the cove , exploring the reef. Wifi went out which is normal and we loved it! No tv no phones - just our family connecting. Thank you for sharing this gem - we hope to return again in a few years!

Island Paradise

This is an incredible house and we had an amazing stay. The listing and pictures were all accurate and the house did not disappoint at all. If you have never been to Exhuma, it is hard to describe the setting other than you are remote, but once you get there you will be in paradise and in good hands with your host and house concierge, Judy. Like driving on the left side of the road, you will quickly acclimate to the new experience and it will be well worth the drive! And speaking of driving, don’t forget to read the guide and drove past the house a little further to a couple of restaurants that are hidden gems on that side of the island and five minutes from the house. And don’t worry if you can’t unplug, Internet worked perfectly. But do unplug because you don’t want to waste this beautiful setting!

Great place for a family getaway

The property and location were great. You need to know that you are quite away from town but with a little planning that was no problem. The tidal river was just amazing, watching the tides come and go and riding on the flowing river was great. We saw sting rays and star fish and crabs and conch and just had a great time. You could go just a short way out and get to the ocean and do some more snorkeling. We found the house well equipped and plenty of room to handle our group of 10. The only thing that was a negative where the no-see-ums which you had to plan for and stay in the sun or where the wind kept them away or you got alot of bites. But that was a small price to pay for such a great location and accommodations.

Just perfect from beginning to end!

The Cascatta Villa was simply amazing! It started with our search for a vacation rental back in January. We looked all over the Caribbean but coming back to Exuma and specifically this house and boy are we glad we did! The house, location, concierge and host are the best in the business! Judy Gray (concierge for this house) was simply amazing…everything we needed was handled quickly and to our exact specifications that we requested. The house is off the beaten path which is exactly what we were looking for. There are neighbors but it is very private. The house was incredible with the cabanas off each side and a newly built cabana beside one of them. Heated pool that was actually heated was amazing. We couldn’t get our kids out! Communication with host was always answered quickly and we never felt like a bother asking questions. We will be back next year and many years to follow! 5 stars all around

Family Oasis at its finest !!

My family and friends had an amazing stay at this rental. The online booking process was smooth and easy. Heidi got back to me directly with answers to all my questions. Heidi was quick to respond and extremely helpful. She gave us helpful local ideas and information about restaurants and rentals that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The view was incredible from our lodging. We enjoyed the sound of the waves and many family game nights, with the included games. We all enjoyed the gorgeous salt water pool and lying on the deck chairs. Heidi recommend a lovely restaurant minutes away “Tropical Breeze”;the food and service was excellent. This will be a tradition for our family for many years to come. Thank you for having us !!! We hope to book again next year. Helene !

perfection

The private sandbar / Lazy river is unlike anything I have ever seen. Always calm and warm which for our group that had small children it was perfect. plus during nap time the adults could float with cocktail in hand. House manager Judy was great and very responsive to any small thing that popped up. very small down side is proximity GGT. 30 min to town, 45 to airport. 1hr plus to other end of island. we took advantage of Judy pre stocking the house with groceries which helped tremendously. We only had to hit the grocery store once. the remoteness adds to the beauty of the house so we didn't mind the drive. Also Santana's was less than 5 mins away when we were too tired to cook or didn't have something planned to make. The lay out of the home is great. Beds very comfortable. everything was very clean. Wifi is strong, we were even able to get wifi on the sand bar for music. so bring a small portable speaker. This really is an amazing property with a truly stunning uniqueness that I think has ruined me from other beach get aways now. I only want Ribbon of Blue. Nothing can compare!!!

Better than any Five Star Resort

Last year we fell in love with Little Exuma and stayed just a few houses away from Ribbon of Blue as it was being built. We have dreamed of renting it all year and were not disappointed. This is the most perfect romantic getaway imaginable. It’s privately nestled on a breathtaking lagoon with close access to Tropic of Cancer Beach but also several private beaches untouched by anyone else. Instructions at the house give directions to pathways to all of these amazing spots. During our stay, we walked five miles of beaches each day and never saw a single person. Judy was wonderfully attentive to all our needs but also respected our privacy The house is well-equipped with every kitchen item you could need. Every small detail has been thought through. The beds are very comfortable and furniture is uncluttered and clean but still comfortable and well decorated. The pool is heavenly and is kept at the perfect temperature both for day time floating or evening swims. The remote charm of Little Exuma comes with rolling power outages and the need for bottled drinking water, but Ribbon of Blue has gone above and beyond to install an automatic generator and reverse osmosis water filtration system to address these concerns. Air conditioning units are in each separate space of the home, and although we hardly needed to use them, they cool the room off the moment you turn them on. Although this home is the perfect spot for a secluded romantic trip for two, we have every intention of returning with our six children for a family vacation here. The room layout is brilliantly designed with two separate casitas which would be perfect for additional couples or grandparents you bring along. The 5 kayaks and immediate access to the lagoon waterways through the mangroves provides active fun. The sandbar and beach at the house are picturesque for sand and water play for little ones. The expansive deck gives the pool full sun throughout the day but provides so much shade for a large group needing to stay out of the sun. We grilled every night and enjoyed dining outside as we watched the moon rise over the ocean. There are additional pool rafts, games, and boogie boards provided for anyone who wants more to do than just relax and soak in the incredible view. The owners were so responsive to our every need and took care of a few matters immediately when we contacted them. We have truly found paradise, and we look forward to returning again and again!

Out of this world experience

I can spend hours describing the amazing time we had, but ill summarize it. The description and pictures do not match how beautiful the house and location is. You have to see it to believe it. Judy was beyond amazing. Always answered the phone and was there for anything we needed. The island and the residents were all beautiful, humble, and happy people. In short, the vibes of the exumas, combine with everything I mentioned, makes this trip a once in a lifetime experience. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you

Everything expected and more!

The whole process from booking on was seamless. Heidi is the most responsive owner I have ever dealt with on a vacation rental!! Judy the property manager was amazing as she responded to any request immediately . As far as the property itself.....The beach and lagoon were nicer than the pictures and very private. Perfect Location

We stayed at Ribbon of Blue and absolutely loved it! The house is beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Judy, the property manager was extremely helpful in giving us advice on where to go on the island for specific needs. She always responded to our calls within minutes and was so polite! The location was about 30 minutes from town but we planned accordingly for groceries. If you like your privacy, this home is located on the best beach on the island. You have your own inlet and there are 5 kayaks to take out and explore the mangrove areas. We all love this home and will definitely return hopefully sooner than later!

Blue, Blue, Blue

We loved Ribbon of Blue and Exuma! The house is perfectly situated with calm waters for kids and floating adults and beautiful color in the evening light! The prettiest waters I’ve ever seen are in Exuma. The roads, especially the unpaved ones, are very rough and bumpy. We had a lot of laughs in our large van as we bounced around. We had one of our best family vacations ever ….loved the layout of the house, too!
