Beautiful house and private apartment, hot tub & sauna, 6 miles from Hood River!

Our house is close enough to enjoy all the activities in the Gorge, but far enough in the country for a peaceful get away. The house is cozy enough for 2, and spacious enough for a group. Just 6 miles from Hood River, OR, it's perfect for couples, families, or wedding guests. An open floor plan makes the house seem larger than 1700 square feet. Windows and light surround the great room, providing views of orchard, wooded hills and mountain. The kitchen provides everything needed for meals, including staples for baking, spices, condiments, and sundries. Both bedrooms have new comfortable king beds with all new cotton bedding, down comforters and pillows. Two oversize couches in the great room easily convert to twin beds. A luxurious master bath includes a cast iron soaking tub, walk in shower, sauna, and heated tile floor. The guest bath has a walk in shower. All 3 bathrooms have hairdryers and straitners, as well as extra supplies.. The porch wraps around the house, with plenty of furniture for relaxing outside or gathering with friends. The patio includes a BBQ, propane fire pit, and Internet are provided. The 2 smart TV's are hooked up to Roku. A private 500 square ft. apartment above the garage is included as part of the vacation rental. Just to be clear, the apartment is always rented with the house for the same price, if you don't need the apartment, it remains empty. The apartment has a queen bed and two twins, a full bath with tub shower combo, a mini kitchen, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
A portable crib and high chair are available.
Our guest closset holds games and books, as well as a few toys and coloring books.
Parking is ample, and there is space in the garage for bikes and gear if needed.
There is one blink camera set in the driveway.

This is a fantastic house with a wonderful view of Mt. Hood right from the front porch. There is plenty of cookware and a very nice gas grill. The cherry orchard across the road brings in lots of birds, deer, turkeys and other wildlife. The living, dining and bedroom areas are all spacious and comfortable. Hood River is just 15 minutes away.

White Salmon House

This home is one we have been returning to for many, many years. The location is excellent and easy to find. Quiet and comfortable with every amenity you can think of. Abundance of wildlife right outside the window along with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and the hill of wildflowers. The host(s) are easy to communicate with and make you feel like you're vacationing in your home away from home. We look forward to returning again on our next trip!

Amazing Mt view

So peaceful everyone enjoyed all the deer and even the bear that came very close. The home had everything we needed, but we needed larger pots and pans so we had a family member. Bring them up very nice layout. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit as well.

We stayed here for our son's wedding in Hood River. The house and property were absolutely beautiful! The host was very friendly and super responsive. The view from the front window of Mt. Hood is awesome! Definitely worth it! We would stay at this place again.

Quiet location with everything we need

This is a great jumping off point for many hikes and fishing holes. The kitchen had every gadget, dish, and spice I could need. The hot tub was the cleanest I have ever seen at a rental. The pillows were a little stiff, but who has time to sleep on vacation.If we come back to this area, this will be where we stay.

Beautiful house with view of Mt Hood, in affluent neighborhood with great walks in a wooded setting. Nice hot tub (4 place) & small sauna in master bath. A few minutes North out of town means bring what you need or drive to get to a store, etc. Nice place; the best!

Peaceful comfy home

4 adult sisters stayed here for a long weekend. Kitchen is well stocked, house is clean, beds and couches are comfy, area is very peaceful, hot tub is perfect. Everyone loved having their own rooms. Would stay here again.

It was exactly what we needed for celebrating my son's wedding. The house was fully stocked with anything we could have needed. Plenty of space to spread out but at the same time a huge room for everyone to hang out in.

Our stay at a beautiful home near Hood River

We had a wonderful stay! The house met all our needs! We had 2 small children with our group. It was advertised to have a packn’play. I messaged the owner if she knew anyplace we could rent another. She messaged that her daughter would bring one over before we arrived. So helpful!! We would definitely stay again!

PERFECT!

Stayed here with my adult siblings for my niece’s wedding in Hood River. The open floorplan is great for visiting. There was a jacuzzi and a tiny (2 person) sauna that we enjoyed. And a beautiful view of Mount Hood from the front of the house. The owner thought of every possible thing you would need! We forgot to get Ketchup and Mayonaisse-but she had in the fridge. And we ran out of detergent pods and coffee and thankfully she had those as well! This is a very thoughtfully put together VRBO! She even had umbrellas that we ended up needing. The house was really clean and spacious enough for several couples. The room above the garage is great for teenagers to escape the adults. The only negative I would say is that the city of White Salmon is a little run down and not as charming as Hood River. But once you get to the house, the city doesn’t matter:). PERFECT VRBO!!
