Hop on-board the steam train that travels right into the heart of the Yorkshire Moors National Park from Whitby to Goathland famously known as ‘Aidensfield’ in the TV show ‘Heartbeat’. For the outdoor enthusiast, Whitby forms part of the Cleveland Way Walk, a 110 mile walk which comes down the coast through Whitby, finishing at Filey, passing through quaint fishing villages and along rugged coastlines.
