Simply the best! Beach front, uninterrupted great views from all rooms

Walk onto beach beside a safe lagoon. This bach is perfect for families with small children to early teens.
Watch the waves, also river and reserve views. Bush walks, surfing, body surfing (boards available), kayaking (4 kayaks and life jackets supplied). Perfect for holidays, celebrations or just relaxing.
Laundry facilities and modern kitchen. Gas barbecue.
Tag off technology with no TV or internet! Plenty of games and jigsaws for wet days. Loads of books and some children's toys.
Room for tents.
Family Friendly Golden Piwa Award.
We have a great water supply with an ultra-violet water filter system ensuring NZ water standard quality.
Nearby in village- Surf life saving operating during the Summer. Little nippers club during Summer school holidays. Bar open from 5.30 and big screen for 'the game'!

Things to do-
- Visit the blow hole at the south end of the beach on a rough day- awesome!!!
-Walk through the native bush to Waimama reserve opposite- lovely to walk through the bush and pohutukawas to the next beach where there are rock pools and fishing. Nice swimming too in the more sheltered Waimama Bay. Keep walking over the hills to the 'secret special beach' and the cave, waterfall and ship wreck. Magic!
-Only 15 minutes from Whangamata- surf beach, boating, shops,cafes and boat ramp,
- Only 15 minutes from Waihi, for gold history and steam train, and golf, supermarket, and cafes
- Stroll to the local shop that does a good coffee too and has nearly everything you might need, including fish and chips at the weekend and holidays. Open daily
- Heaps of walks around the area. Stop in the Karangahake Gorge between Paeroa and Waihi. Explore the Coromandel Forest Park and Wentworth Valley waterfalls if you are more adventurous, but you probably won't go anywhere!!

One week is never long enough!!!

Special conditions:
Adults and families preferred. No teenage groups. No pets.
Absolutely no fires, fireworks or smoking on the property.
Please do not park on the grass.
Please ensure that there is no litter left on the property, especially bottle tops as they kill the mower!
Two night minimum booking
Arrival 3.00, departure noon, unless otherwise arranged.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to leave it as you found it and bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Amazing location right on the lagoon. A paradise for children with safe shallow swimming in view of the house. The house is so well set up for families and generously stocked with games, books and sports gear. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back! Host is super friendly and helpful too.

Margaret was very helpful, lots of contact and useful information. The property was as described and had everything needed for a family fun getaway. The location and views was the clincher for us, the photos don't do it justice. It was breathtaking and simply perfect. We are all keen to come again.

We can't wait to rebook, its a very special location and it was really nice to be able to fit my big family. The house is cosy and it was fun to be able to borrow the kayaks to try in the shallow stream. The little ones were safe, the confident adults went swimming in the ocean which is very close. We played board games and read and swam. Thank you for sharing your batch with us.

This Bach never disappoints! Best location in Whiritoa. We absolutely love staying here everything you need and more right there - kayaks are a lovely addition to enjoy an easy paddle up the estuary. Views are spectacular and somehow even though this is a perfect beach location we feel secluded and private. Will be booking again soon.

Suitable for the whole family

The location really couldn't be any more perfect, so much to do and everything is right there on your doorstep. Lots of things to keep you entertained if the weather isn't so ideal. We had no idea what to expect as our first holiday travelling with an infant, but the place had everything we needed and some things we didnt even realise we needed! The host was communicative and available for enquiries. We're already talking about booking this property as an annual thing.

I think the situation of this bach is one of the best in Whiritoa, fantastic for my grandchildren they learnt to kayak right in front of the bach. The bach had absolutely everything we needed, so comfortable and sitting on the deck looking out at the sea was wonderful.

Even better than the pictures. Absolutely stunning and the most relaxing place we’ve ever stayed. Everything you could want at the bach for an enjoyable time. Loved the kayaks and all the books. The best location!

We loved our stay at this gorgeous bach. With the beach right on the doorstep, you get the sound of the waves crashing lulling you to sleep. We enjoyed early morning strolls along the beach, day time family walk over the hill to the bay around the corner and amazing blow hole down the opposite end of the beach. And star speckled sky at night. You're just so close to nature you just want to explore the whole time. In saying that, staying indoors is also lovely. Beautiful views, dining area great for board games (lots of great ones there), master bedroom a haven of relaxation.
