Welcome to La Casita! Your Peaceful Retreat in the Woods!
Just 8 minutes from Munising and 20 minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, La Casita is the peaceful retreat you've been dreaming of! Surrounded by 11.5 acres of whispering trees and set on a quiet, spring-fed lake, this warm and welcoming timber-frame home is all about slowing down, unplugging (but yes, there's WiFi!), and soaking in the beauty of nature. This stunning 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is full of thoughtful touches! The open main floor is bright and airy with big windows, a cozy fireplace, and a kitchen that's ready for anything! The primary suite has It's own door to the deck, perfect for sneaking out to stargaze. Upstairs, you'll find two more charming bedrooms with a shared full bath and a cozy loft space! Downstairs? Game night central! There's a reclining sofa, a big-screen TV, a ping pong table, and plenty of room to hang out! You will also find a full bathroom, plus a spacious laundry area to keep everyone fresh after a long day of adventuring! Outside, the magic continues. You can paddle the day away with one of the four kayaks available, swim in the clear water, or cast a line for some catch-and-release bass fishing. There is a big deck out back with space to grill, dine, and lounge! La Casita is a place to make memories, breathe deeply, and feel truly at home in nature. Bedroom 2(Loft) - full bunkbed. There is also a couch with trundle.

Boats: 4 kayaks and a canoe. Life jackets are provided by garage.

Boat Launch: Munising Municipal Boat Ramp - 22 minutes (13.0 miles) Tolly motor only.

Cable: There is no traditional cable.

Cell Phone Service: There is no cell service. There is wifi you can connect to on the property.

Coffee Maker: There is a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. K cups and regular coffee is provided.

Drinking Water: Yes there is drinkable well water.

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: Yes there is a wood burning fireplace.

Fire-pit: Yes.

Fishing: Catch and release. Small mouth bass

Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan.

Golf: Pictured Rocks Golf Club - 20 minutes (12.7 miles)

Handicap Friendly: Nothing has been added to property for handicap accessibility

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.

Parking: 4 car parking or 2 cars with trailers

Pets: NO PETS ALLOWED, this is a non-pet friendly property

Privacy: This is a very private property.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
