This secluded mountaintop property sits on six acres in the very heart of the Berkshires. You will be at a three minute drive from the village of West Stockbridge, ten minutes from the world famous Tanglewood, and just 20 minutes from Jimmy Peak, the largest and nicest ski resort in Massachusetts.

The house occupies 3,500 square feet over three floors, with three large bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The common spaces and bedrooms are all well proportioned and relaxed, offering an experience of privacy and exclusivity that can only be provided by a property such as this.

The house is approximately 120 miles from New York City, a roughly 2.5 hour drive over the Taconic Parkway's rolling hills and beautiful vistas. The house, located against a mountain, is reached via a 1/4 mile private driveway that winds uphill through a protected bird sanctuary. The situation of the elevated house with the mountain on its east side provides for stunning views, from a special observation area within the house, of the far-away mountains in the west.

The ground floor has a oversized living room with a wood burning fireplace, a formal dining area, and a newly built kitchen. A large TV screen is mounted above the fire place. The TV, fed by a strong wifi signal (over 300 Mbps), features many channels, including the most common ones. The primary bedroom suite and en-suite bathroom are conveniently located on the same level.

The second floor has two spacious bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms feature queen sized beds, and one has a working wood fireplace and a TV screen mounted above the fire place fed by the same signal as the TV in the living room .

The finished basement level features a large library that can be used as a dedicated work space. The room has a great variety of books. The basement also includes a laundry room.

In front of the house is a large deck with comfortable seating, a barbecue, and westerly views that provide for spectacular sunsets.

At the back of the house is a screened patio with a dining table and chairs. This is a very quiet and cozy space, perfect for drinking your morning coffee.
