"Great budget hotel, clean, quiet. We stayed 1 night just driving through Ashville. They had a nice continental breakfast, day office staff was nice and recommended a great place to eat for lunch."

"Staff was attentive. The room was not up to standard when it came to cleanliness, particularly the bathrooms with soiled curtain and dirty floor. Also, the towels where stained and 1 bed sheet was ripped. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. We noticed that a few rooms from ours, they were cooking in the room with a portable electric skillet. "

"We decided to stay at this historic property vs normally staying outside of Asheville and it did not disappoint! The location is central to all that downtown Asheville has to offer within a few short steps. The property was beautiful and we appreciated the charming touches from the old department store. "This is probably an older property that has been completely refurbished. The young lady at teception was very couteous and helpful. The reception area, breakfast area, the room and all exterior area were spotless. Kudos to the reception staff and especially the housekeeping staff for a splendid job. "My husband and I planned a quick overnight stay to break up our trip to Savannah from Ohio. We found this hotel on hotels.com. It was above our expectations! "I’m sorry this rating only goes to 5 stars cause the place rates a 10. This place is customer focused from the time you car pulls up until you check out. The facility is a resorted 8 or 9 story office building built in 1926. They have kept the theme of the building but added 21st century convenience to the rooms and public areas. Every staff member had a smile and truly wanted to know if you were enjoying your stay. The location is perfect for exploring Asheville’s food scene. "
