"This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals.
Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw.
So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well."

"We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. We'll be back! "

"Nice fresh clean room comfy bed and clean bathroom decent shower breakfast excellent
Only downside was no evening but plenty of dining options in walking distance, staff very helpful "

"Fantastic retreat, off the beaten track but worth it if you are after a quiet stay.
The hosts were excellent, lots of communication and available to help if you need anything. "

"Très beau bâtiment ancien avec une très jolie décoration intérieure. Hôte très sympathique et accueillante, avec un excellent petit déjeuner servi. Grand parking payant à proximité et logement bien situé dans le village. Merci beaucoup "
