Apartment block "Mittaghorn". Below Wengen, 800 m from the centre, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: lift, central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 800 m, restaurant 500 m, bar, bakery 800 m, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.8 km, railway station "Wengen" 800 m, outdoor swimming pool 1.3 km. Cable car, skisport facilities 800 m, children's playground 500 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.
"Mittaghorn Apt.8", 3-room apartment 117 m2, on the top floor. Spacious and bright, with sloping ceilings, modern and stylish furnishings: living/dining room with Scandinavian wood stove, dining table, cable TV, radio and DVD. 1 room with 1 french bed (1 x 160 cm, length 200 cm), bath/WC. 1 room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Large, open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 induction hot plates, toaster, kettle, microwave, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, fondue Set (chinoise, cheese)). Shower/WC. Balcony, south-east facing position. Balcony furniture. Marvellous panoramic view of the mountains. Facilities: washing machine, dryer, logs (extra). Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

We loved this apartment!! Check in was so easy with the office close to the train station with friendly staff. The apartment was easy to find and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the views and the sheep in the fields. It was comforting to come ‘home’ to the apartment each night after a long day of hiking. We loved this apartment! Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful stay

We loved our stay in our Wengen apartment! It’s a great place for fit people without mobility impairments. Wengen is a great jumping-off point for a stay in the Lauterbrunnen area; the train down to Lauterbrunnen comes every 1/2 hour and is only ~ 10 min. The apartment was clean, warm, well-appointed kitchen & had beautiful views. We could hear sheep and cow bells ringing from the local fields and see Staubbachfall from the windows & balcony. The front desk staff in Wengen were really helpful. -1 star because it may not be great for a some folks with mobility issues. The walk from the train station is only 1/3 mile, but most of that has a 14-20% grade (quite steep). The apt is down the steepest part of the road from most other places & there isn’t a dedicated courier. We called a taxi to take us up the 1/3 mile the last day because of an early September snow that left the streets wet and icy; carrying our luggage up a 20% grade with ice and slush wasn’t practical. The other days were fine for us, but had this trip been with my mom, we may have ended up paying 50 CHF/day just to get to and from the train station by taxi. FYI about staying in Wengen: Going up the mountain from Wengen isn’t included with the Swiss Travel Pass, so getting up to Mannlichen or Klein Schweitzer/Jungfrau/Eiger or over to the Grindelwald valley is additional $ if you don’t want to go down & through Lauterbrunnen. Wasn’t a problem for us bc the train ride to/from Wengen is so beautiful!

Very nice place off the beaten path

The home was very nice and had everything we needed. The walk up to the grocery, restaurants, and shops was only a half mile walk but it was quite a tough walk up hill. We ended up taking a taxi up each time for 20 CHF. I would recommend this home for someone that wants quiet and doesn’t plan to leave much. The views are spectacular!

Mountain perfection.

Extremely spacious and comfortable apartment in a great location at the bottom edge of the village. Location means it is quiet and has great views, but there is a steep walk up into the village. We did not object to the walk and so completely loved the apartment.

A Little Piece of Heaven

We love Wengen (have started to make it an annual trip) and have returned to Apartment Mittaghorn 3 times (and don't plan to stop). The apartment could not be set in a more beautiful setting. The view is spectacular! The apartment is supplied well, modern, clean. The property management group is so helpful and friendly and attentive. We like to go back in the fall when things are quieter. Had a lovely month working and playing in Wengen. We'll be back!!

Perfect stay !

Apartment was spotlessly clean,comfortable ,excellent wifi and had everything we needed. The setting was unlike no other. Put yourself in a postcard and you have it summed up. Amazing views from windows and deck ,surrounded by snow capped mountains and looking straight down the Lauterbrunnen valley. Down a steep hill from the village but that's what this area is all about and when you are surrounded by so much beauty it becomes irrelevant. Thank you for sharing this special apartment with us !
