• Open dining area seating six, plus breakfast bar stools
• Full kitchen with oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and coffee maker
• Upstairs master bedroom with a king bed, TV, and private access to the bath

This is real log construction - full rounded logs inside and out, hand-notched at the corners, with a river rock chimney running floor to ceiling. The deck sits up above a fern-covered slope, so you are level with the trees on three sides and looking straight down at the creek running below.

The Neighborhood:
The cabin sits on a quiet dead-end road in Welches, deep in the trees with a creek running past the property. You are minutes from Mt. Hood National Forest trailheads, the Salmon River, and the golf course, market, and restaurants in Welches proper. The Old Salmon River Trail and Mirror Lake make for easy forest hiking, and Government Camp, Timberline Lodge, and Ski Bowl are all a short drive up US-26 for skiing in winter and alpine hiking through the summer. Sandy is the last full-size grocery stop on the way up the mountain.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — This mountain retreat is nestled in the Mt. Hood area, surrounded by nature. While not a walkable urban setting, the peaceful surroundings and outdoor recreation more than make up for it.
