  • Shadow Hawk #15 is a lovely, quiet condo right next to the Salmon River in Welches, Oregon. Tucked back in a corner next to the woods, this is a peaceful place to relax and listen to the river while being only minutes away from the golf course, shops, restaurants, evening entertainment and the local market. Only 15 minutes away from Government Camp and 20 minutes to TImberline Lodge. The complex is quiet and well groomed.

    Available Amenities: Wifi, cable TV with DVD and video cassette player in the living room and cable TV with DVD player in the bedroom. New kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, microwave, table-top propane gas grill, blow-dryer in master bath. Sleeps five with one bedroom, two baths. One king bed, one queen sofa bed and one twin window seat bed.

It's very peaceful and you can hear the river and a few foot walk and you're looking at the salmon River filled with huge fish. I would stay again. Madi was very helpful with reservation and check in, very professional and courteous . Thanks Madi!

We loved sitting there by the Salmon River. We hiked in the forest many times. We hope to return next summer.

We enjoyed the mountain views and found peace watching the river. The home was well decorated with a mountain theme and came fully equipped with everything we needed. We loved staying there.

My son was at Government Camp for ski race training camp and I found this location to have more amenities nearby than Government Camp. . Such as restaurants, grocery store and a bonus--- a Spa! The condo had two full baths and a comfortable king size bed. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub during my stay too. Definitely need to go to Rendevous Restaurant for lunch or dinner while you are there. The food is delicious, the property management company was very helpful in helping me find this condo quickly.

We love the location which is close to The Resort at The Mountain and our old neighborhood. Very clean, comfortable king size bed and a kitchen with every need. Would have liked access to the pool but it had just been cleaned and the water was too cold. The hot tub was hot and clean.Great place! We will come back.

It was just what we were looking for, it had two showers which turned out to be very helpful when we got off the mountain and were ready to get warm and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need. The one downside was that there was no WIFI. We didn't even think of checking because everyone has WIFI nowadays. If you're looking to get away from electronics this would be a great option!

Perfect base for Mt Hood adventures!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriend and I were on leave and with only a week notice I was able to book this unit for Dec 30 though Jan 2. Online description was accurate, and check in process was very smooth. Mgmt called to make sure we were setup once checked in. The place was clean and very well stocked with everything one would need for a day or a week or a month. It is a bit of a drive from Govt Camp/Mt Hood (15-30 min) but since our plans involved mainly intensive hiking and snow sports we appreciated the fact that it was well away from the holiday bustle and very quiet. The location next to the Salmon RIver was perfect for relaxing with a coffee or cocktail. Ample firewood was provided for our stay and split/placed for us on the patio. A small collection of books was available, in addition to the TV. There is 1 bathroom "en suite" and one that can be used by someone sleeping on the couch or guests. The fixtures were a little "90's" but such things don't matter when you've been on the snow since sunrise. The heat is controlled room by room which took us a while to figure out. There is a plaza with a well stocked market, liquor store, ski rental, and gas station right up the road. All in all this was a perfect spot for us and we would love to come back.

It's a quiet haven along the Salmon River, in a beautiful natural setting. The condo is well equipped with nearly every amenity you could name — except air conditioning, which isn't often an issue in Welches. It's clean and well cared for, and the rental agency (and onsite manager) are most helpful and responsive.

Not only was the staff warm and welcoming, they bent over backwards to help us find a great rental in the price range best for us at a one day rental and were able to get us into the rental immediately. My husband's father is very ill and this last minute trip was to help my husband relax and get away for a night. Not only was the location very private, it looked over the water and into the woods, exactly what he wanted. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed, we felt right at home. The staff made the entire experience so wonderful for us and the stay was exactly what our family needed. We will be recommending you to everyone we know and we will be booking our own vacation again soon. This was the best experience we have had in a very long time and the money we spent was worth every dollar for what we enjoyed. Thank you so much, you have no idea what a huge difference that one night and your kindness made in our lives. THANK YOU!
