I didn’t bring a pet with me but it looked pretty pet friendly. B was very nice and also showed us where the nearest shopping places are. Even checked in on us after coming back from our convention.

Bed and bedding were comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. There was a faint smell of cigarettes, perhaps from a previous guest who did not follow the policy. Savitri had an air purifier running and was attempting to address the issue. She is a lovely woman and was very pleasing to speak to and deal with. This property is in a safe area with ample street parking.

The Internet was good and the neighborhood was fine. Definitely need to update. The betting sheets are dated and seemed a bit on the dirty side. Must note that heavy smoker lives in house so a huge smoke presence.

Lovely Stay in Arlington, VA

This particular property satisfied all my needs during my stay. The host is very kind and friendly and attentive. I had total and complete privacy, was able to use the kitchen, and laundry which were two of my main concerns. Put it this way, if I should have the need to return to the area, I will hope this property is available. Thank you!

Great Host and Great Space!

Savitri was a most hospitible and kind host to myself, my husband and our fur-babies. The location was just far enough to not be near traffic but still very close to restaurants and grocery stores. This is a definite find if you need to find a place in Arlington, VA.

Terrible stay - filled with cigarette smoke when I returned to apartment at night

When I arrived the owner greeted me to let me in. Her clothes were filthy (not from yard work or exercise). There was an SUV parked out front with gun bumper stickers and "gun culture" stickers. Apartment appeared clean at first glance. When I returned (attended high school reunion) at 11 p.m. the windows in house were open and someone was smoking above apartment. Apartment reeked of smoked to the point my throat and eyes were burning. I have asthma so could not stay. Terrible experience and could not fall asleep until after 3 a.m. due to how uncomfortable I was. Also, area behind bed, which you could see had dead bugs, lamps were dusty. Yuck!!

budget friendly

Very sweet and understanding host and clean space. It’s in a basement so a little dark and dusty. Quiet neighborhood close to shops and food. Good proximity to DC without the crazy price. I will say if you’re sensitive to smell, seemed like someone in the house or maybe neighborhood smokes. We couldn’t seem to locate AC/controls so it was a bit hot with just a fan. All in all it got the job done for a one night stay. And the other pLaces to stay in the area can be super pricy. Host was very helpful getting back left behind items!

This is not a private space!!

This is a basement apartment so it was stuffy, although they did have fans. It was ok, but there were dead bugs in bathtub and toilet paper roll was coming off wall. my biggest issue THIS IS NOT PRIVATE, THERE ARE STAIRS GOING INTO THE MAIN HOUSE BLOCKED OFF BY A BOX. THIS MADE US VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I have photos of the issues.

What a beautiful neighborhood in Arlington, VA. The photos do not do justice in conveying the spaciousness of this clean and charming, fully-equipped basement apartment. This is perfect for a single person, a couple, or a small family who wants to stay for a few days, or a week or two. Also, what a sweet, open, and accommodating hostess! Please be sweet and kind in turn to Mrs. Savitri, as she really deserves this. Savitri genuinely likes getting to know her guests, and will do her utmost to make sure that you are taken care of within her means and power to do so. Regarding the place, great value for the price! Great spot! Didn’t have AC

Such a kind hostess! She came down and showed me the place and was such a sweetheart. My ONLY complaint would be that the listing says it has AC, it did not and was quite warm. There were fans provided which was helpful so it definitely was doable (but noticeable while sleeping!) Love that the spot is pet-friendly!

Nice for a short stay

Know in advance it’s a basement apartment with no A/C control. Some cosmetic fixes needed, but okay for a two night stay. Very nice property manager and ease of booking/checkout.

Charming Apartment Close to DC!

Perfect place for our one night stay outside DC. Safe, charming neighborhood ! This 1 bedroom basement unit accommodated all our needs. Very comfortable nights stay. Located close to many restaurants and within 20 min drive of the city. Savitri was a wonderful host and took the time to come greet us and show us the apartment! I would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone!!
