A Framed Oasis on the Pamlico River

  • Looking for the perfect getaway? Coming to town for a wedding, family reunion or graduation? Look no further! Our house sits steps away from the beautiful Pamlico River. Enjoy the decks on all 4 sides of the house. You will see the perfect sunrise and sunset from one of the widest spots on the Pamlico. Our fun spot is located 10 miles from Downtown Washington, 3 miles from Washington Yacht & Country Club, 15 miles from Bath and 25 miles from Greenville. Enjoy our bikes, kayak, floats, and sunfish sailboat. Our sandy beach makes it very easy to launch the kayak or sunfish. No need to pack up all the chairs....we have that covered, as well. Great outdoor shower.

    The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. I am a frequent traveler and love staying in VRBO's! I have taken lots of notes over the past several years and now I am bringing you a little slice of heaven here in beautiful Washington, North Carolina. Yes, it's okay to call it "Little Washington" if that's what you prefer.

    Please note.... we can only allow 7 people on the property at any given time.

    First Floor: Den, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms ( Double Beds) and bathroom. French doors access the deck from the den, kitchen, and both bedrooms. The bathroom on the first floor has shower/bathtub combination. No problem bathing the little ones. Pack and Play and high chair located in the closet.
    Second Floor: Master Bedroom (queen bed) Small bedroom (cutest twin bed, ever). The small bedroom has a set of french doors that open up to a small deck. The walkway on the second floor leads you to french doors that has a small balcony overlooking the Pamlico. Breathtaking views!

    I especially love sitting under the house during the heat of the summer. There seems to always be a breeze. There is a hammock to enjoy and a large picnic table where you can enjoy lunch. If you have a boat that you want to bring, please contact me. You can leave a boat in the canal beside the house, but worthy of a discussion.

    A large table with 6 chairs and 2 bistro tables with 4 chairs are located on the upstairs deck.

    Oh.....what about fishing and crabbing? We have 4 fishing poles, crabbing string, nets, and of course....a bucket for all those crabs and fish that we hope you catch off the pier. Don't think we have any fancy fishing equipment, we don't. Just the fun basics.

    This house has been part of the family for 23 years! My grown kids will not let me sell it so it's time to let others enjoy it!

Great location on the river

Wonderful property on the river with a great deck and pier. Super clean, had everything we needed. 15 minute drive to Washington for great dining and breweries and waterfront. Enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful getaway - a treasure for family vacation!

Everything about our stay here was stellar. The host was exceptional, and the home was as well appointed as our family home with games, linens, kitchen ware, and spaces to hang out and rest. Being on the water was peaceful, and we were close enough to town and activities to entertain small children for several days.

Wonderful Waterfront Week!

This was our second time staying at the A Framed Oasis on the Pamlico River, and the second visit was even better than our first - which was wonderful! The home and amenities are even nicer than advertised, and Tracy is an excellent host. We are already looking forward to staying there again next year!

A+ A Frame!!!

Amazing property! House is immaculate. Tracy is a fantastic host - super responsive and knowledgeable about the area. We caught multiple crabs off the pier every morning with the brand new crab pots and rented a boat for the day from one of the neighbors. House has plenty of room and everything you need for a relaxing vacation!

Quick thoughts

We came to Washington to celebrate a wedding. The Bride provided us with a golf cart so the house was in a perfect location for us; Cute place and lovely view. Only downside that wasn't shared ahead of booking was construction nextdoor that was quiet loud on the weekdays.

Outstanding Oasis

Wonderful stay on the Pamlico! House was beautiful and time at the river could not be beat. House is beautifully furnished and beds are super comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Plenty to do close by but we enjoyed the big deck and fishing and crabbing from the dock that we were content spending most of out visit at the house. Thanks Tracy for a great week!

We had a wonderful vacation at the A Framed Oasis on the Pamlico River. The home and amenities were as promised with added touches that made us feel welcome. The host was very communicative without being obtrusive. All in all, this was our best VRBO experience to date!

Second time staying here

Our second stay was just as wonderful as the first. The house has a great view of the Pamlico River. Our highlights were white Pelicans and otters feeding right out front. We came to ride our bikes and the location is perfect for starting right at the house and doing various routes in the area. There was ample room for 4 of us and the kitchen is well stocked which is nice plus. We will definitely return.

Great house for a getaway!

My family all enjoyed this beautifully dr prayed fun river house! It was a happy experience! The view was Incrediable and we had fun in the town of Washington and Greenville. We enjoyed eating lunch at The Mulberry Brewery and had a fabulous dinner at Parleys ! The host had lots of special touches that made our stay just perfect! We will be back!

Hands down the BEST rental we've ever stayed at!

Photos don't do it justice.. the 'A Framed Oasis' is such an inviting home. It's wonderfully laid out, and we didn't want to leave. Tracy was the best host! Very attentive. I highly recommend her house, and look forward to returning in the very near future.

Amazing stay

To be honest, the pictures do not do the listing justice. The home, the views, everything is just amazing. Tracy was an incredibly generous and gracious host, and we had the best time. Comfortable, relaxing and fun, it was just what we needed for a quick family break. We are already planning our next visit.

Superior experience

We took a short vacation to this beautiful location, a place we had never visited. The house was very clean and well stocked with things we are used to providing ourselves, such as paper towels and toiletries. The owner took care to make sure we had everything we needed, and when she discovered one of our children would be having a birthday while we were there, she left an ice cream cake in the freezer. The property is well cared for outside as well, and we enjoyed fishing from the dock and relaxing in the hammock. We really enjoyed eating out in nearby Washington as well. We rented a pontoon boat from one of the neighbors and enjoyed exploring the river. I can't say enough positive things about our stay.
