Charming Traditional Log Cabin In Between Mt. Snow And Stratton with Sauna/WIFI

Beautiful charming cozy log cabin with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in a peaceful location between Mt. Snow and Stratton Mountain for plenty of outdoor adventures, but indoors you can Cozy up by the double sided wood burning fireplace while drinking a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

The main level consists of an open layout with the kitchen/dining room with beautiful views of the rear deck and woods/mountain in the backyard. The dining room flows into the living room which has a queen sleep sofa and love seat, a futon, and a recliner. The living room also comes equipped with a new 42 inch flat screen tv, new Samsung 3D blu-ray dvd player, with surround sound for movies and Sunday football. Also, Stereo with a bunch of old rock CDs. A large half bath is also on the main level off of the living room. The kitchen comes fully stocked along with a dishwasher, electric stove, toaster, coffee maker machine and all the pots/pans, utensils you need for your stay, even a crockpot so dinners can be ready when you get back home from skiing or hiking.

The lower level features a queen log bed in the master bedroom, full size bed in one of the guest bedrooms, and another bedroom with Full over Full bunk beds which sleeps another 2-4 guests. The lower level is complete with a large full bathroom, which includes a sauna with a new sauna heater, washer/dryer, tub/shower combo with the best water pressure. Great out door spaces in the screened in porch with wicker furniture and rear upper/lower decks. Also included is use of a BBQ grill, outdoor picnic table, and a Adirondack love seat rocking chair for two on the upper deck(available during non-winter months only).

This property is located in the snow mountain farms community, which includes a clubhouse with an indoor heated pool, tennis courts, and picnic area which you may use during your stay. Enjoy and relax, your in Vermont.

Cute and Cozy!

This little house is clearly very well loved by the owners. The owners left very chat instructions on how to use everything, and they were very responsive whenever we had questions. We had a lovely time and would love to return!

Great ski house for families

Location was great for skiing at Stratton. Plenty of space for two families that we were not on top of one and other. House was very comfortable. Owner was great providing us details and information we needed for our stay. He was also flexible with our check out time this afternoon. We were so grateful since my husband was not able to ski. We hope to come back again

Just right for a fall hiking trip to Vermont

The cabin in Wardsboro was a cozy and comfortable retreat in the woods. And a nice touch-- a bottle of wine and two wine glasses on the table when we arrived. The scene from the living room/dining room was spectacular-- the leaves were still brilliant but many had dropped giving us great view of some distant mountains. The space inside was comfortable for the two of us but would have accommodated another couple or a family. We enjoyed the dual fireplace on the main floor, especially because the weather was October cold and even rainy on one day. It made our evenings very cozy. We also enjoyed the fire pit at the back of the property. The owner provided plenty of firewood for both. The only minor drawback during our stay was poor internet connection, but the owner stayed in regular contact trying to get it working. New equipment installed after our stay pretty much assures the next guests that they won't have any problems in that regard. The cabin is close to Mount Snow, so I imagine this is a great location for skiiers. We were there for the hiking and found several great trails in nearby Wilmington such as Haystack Mountain and Merck Forest.

Hidden gem in a great location

Loved this property. It's well situated in Wardsboro in a neighborhood with lots of acreage between the homes. This one in particular is secluded and offers lots of privacy. The back deck is beautiful and large - a great place to have a meal. The interior is very Vermont cabin / lodge style with a wonderful double fireplace between the living and dining room. Best of all, there is a sauna in the downstairs bathroom, which was fantastic given that the weather over the weekend was not so great. Would definitely recommend and will likely be coming back!

Great weekend of skiing, fires, sauna and swimming.

We had a great weekend of skiing. We enjoyed the cabin and look forward to coming back. Fires every night in the fireplace after a long day skiing. Also got to enjoy the sauna at the cabin as well as a swim in pool at the community center. Thanks, Scott!

Gracious host, convenient location & good check in process. The host also offered to give us extra time to check out, highly appreciated. If you are looking for mountain views, this place is not the right choice. It is completely surrounded by tall trees. Think furniture & bedding definitely need an update for hygiene & odor.

Cozy log cabin.

We enjoyed our Christmas vacation in Scott’s log cabin. He’s very prompt and his cabin is clean and well maintained. I’d certainly recommend for small family gatherings and ski trips.

Scott was super accommodating as a host with my change in plans. You can never go wrong with a trip to Vermont and this particular location gives you the best of both worlds as it is between Stratton and Mt. Snow. I will be back!

Great Fall Getaway!

Amazing cabin! Huge back porch area with a lovely view of the fall trees, and a nice big living room and dining room area with a table big enough for 8 people. The double fireplace between the dining room/living room was a very nice feature as well. The rooms are a little cozy, but the beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. Everything was very clean. Scott was a great host and had great tips for the area and left a bottle of wine for when we checked in. We tried many of his suggestions and they were all great! I definitely recommend this stay and would stay here again.

Peaceful cabin in the woods

A group of 5 friends enjoyed the cabin for our annual trip to get together. This was our 38th year is doing this and we have spent these weekends in every New England state. This cabin worked great for us with the right amount of space, privacy, and features. We enjoyed the fire pit and the deck very much. We did take a quick trip to Pikes Falls and that was a great spot for a swim. Scott was very easy to deal with and was extremely prompt in communication. 100% recommend this spot for a cozy amd private get away.

Quiet and peaceful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again. This log cabin cottage is located in a rustic subdivision of sorts with each house located on several acres of densely wooded property. We had complete privacy and could only hear the birds and wind in the trees. We visited in August and were close to many hiking trails, including local trails and the Appalachian Trail.
