Haus Segelbär – Maritime Comfort Behind the Dike in Hooksiel

Welcome to Haus Segelbär—your cozy vacation home located right behind the historic dike in Hooksiel. In a central yet quiet location, you’ll enjoy being close to the marina, the Hooksmeer, and the lively town center—all within easy walking distance.

This modern vacation home offers approximately 72 m² of space for up to 4 people. The open-concept kitchen is fully equipped—with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and much more—and opens directly onto the spacious living area. Here, comfortable seating invites you to enjoy relaxing evenings reading or watching TV. Large French doors lead out to the patio, which features a grill and patio furniture—perfect for relaxing outdoors.

Upstairs, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with two single beds made of solid beech wood. Both rooms are equipped with insect screens. Two modern bathrooms—each with a shower and toilet—as well as a washing machine provide additional comfort.

A travel crib and a high chair are available for families. Two parking spaces are located right next to the house. The Segelbär house is allergy-friendly—therefore, pets and smoking are not permitted. Experience Hooksiel—Charm, beach, and adventure
Hooksiel’s charming town center invites you to stroll through its picturesque pedestrian zone, with shopping and restaurants, while a large EDEKA supermarket with a bakery at the town entrance offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The beach, located about 3 km away, is equipped with parking and beach chairs, and water skiing at the Hooksiel ski terraces provides plenty of action, while beautiful hiking and biking trails lead from the old harbor to the outer harbor and the beach.

The climatic health resort of Hooksiel (Zone 1) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, their ages, and the length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding rates can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the visitor’s tax:
a) Children up to and including 3 years of age.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Companions of severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance.
