Lakeside Cottage at Bolton Bay on Long Lake

Lakeside Cottage comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. The cottage features a queen bed in the master suite, three upstairs loft beds, each with a queen bed (loft has reduced ceiling height), and a queen sofa sleeper.

All towels and linens are provided for your stay. Lakeside Cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and cooking accessories, making it easy to prepare meals during your visit. The cottage is comfortably cooled with forced air conditioning.

Enjoy the spacious deck with wrap-around seating— Perfect for relaxing with friends and family. Start your day with a cup of coffee at the high-top table while taking in the beautiful wildlife all around you.

Enjoy the large yard with a firepit stocked with firewood, along with lawn chairs for relaxing evenings outdoors. Fire up the new Weber grill and dine at your private picnic table. There’s plenty of space for yard games like Corn Hole and Beersbee, and many guests enjoy hanging hammocks from the trees for a peaceful lakeside retreat.

My vacation cottage on beautiful Long Lake is only 3 minutes from downtown Park Rapids and within walking distance to a local restaurant known for their great food!

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of my vacation cottage and entire property. Long Lake in Park Rapids has some of the best fishing in Minnesota, great sandy beaches, and nearly 10 miles of water for jet skiing, water skiing, tubing, snorkeling, sailing and swimming!

Bring your own boat or rent our pontoon or fishing boat and enjoy a few days on the lake!

Rent our luxury pontoon located onsite, so no hassle getting one delivered down to the access and coordinating times to meet with rental companies.

Rent our 16' Tracker. Our Tracker has fish locaters, live well, trolling motor and a great stereo.

Our boat is just perfect for a ride around Bolton Bay or out into Long Lake. Our bay is known for its Largemouth Bass.

———Golf Cart Rental———
Enjoy buzzing around the property or head into town. Just up the road is brand new restaurant known for their great food, a short golf cart ride away! Our new street legal cart seats four.

We enjoy having your pets, but please kindly clean up after them, both inside and outside. Our pet fee is $10 daily. Thank You!

Take a walk on the different Bolton Bay trails or use miles and miles of paved trails in the Heartland trail system which is only two miles away. Bolton Bay is also a short drive to Itasca State Park which is the headwaters of the Mississippi River.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We mainly used it for sleeping since we were attending a family reunion. I would recommend this cabin if staying in the Park Rapids area. The A/C was super cold, just what we needed for the hot humid days we were there. Thanks!!

Great option on Long Lake

The property owner, Chris, is very kind, easy to reach and helpful. We also were able to rent a pontoon from him and spend out days on Long Lake. There was great fishing off of the dock, and bonfires at night. The cabin is small, but if you plan to spend your time outside it is great. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Lovely retreat

We had great stay. Weather perfect and went out on boat ride. The property is in a bay. Frog’s croaking, Loon’s and ducks swimming about. Quiet and relaxing. Definitely will come back!

Grandkids enjoyed more than Itasca

The grandkids loved the pedal boat, the swimming dock and fishing. They enjoyed the vrbo more than our visit to the headwaters of the Mississippi.

Long family fishing weekend

We had a wonderful stay. We rented the fishing boat and had a great time fishing. It was incredibly convenient to have it onsite. Chris, the host, is very responsive and ensured that we had what we needed throughout our stay! We caught a lot of rock bass and perch. We also caught several largemouth bass and even a few walleye. Plenty of sunnies to catch off the large dock too! Our kids also enjoyed the kayak and paddle board in the bay. The bay is very quiet and the waters were still quite calm on a windier day. Based on the listing and other reviews the cottage was exactly as I expected. If you’re on the taller side just be aware of the ceiling heights both upstairs and the lower level. It was perfect for a long weekend.

Beautiful sunrise and sunsets I verlooking the lake.

We enjoyed our stay. Chris Bolten the owner lives on the property. Was very helpful and gave us great info on things to do in the area. We rented the golf cart and took a drive into the woods. Property is very close to town for groceries etc. Our only issue is that we had a disabled person along and the rental is on a bit of a slope and then there are several stairs to get up to door. This was my fault. I should have asked more questions. I would rent again. All and all we had a pretty nice experience.

Lake access was great! Clean water, liked the swimming platform and the SUP.

The 3 beds upstairs are difficult to get to for adults. It’s an one bedroom not four bedroom. Overall enjoyed our stay!!!

Family Get Away

We had such a good time and such a beautiful area!! Chris is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Chris also helped my brother get his pontoon in the water. I definitely would recommend Bolton Bay! 🙂

Clean, quiet, and stunningly beautiful property

The cottage was impecibly clean, with comfortable beds, great heating and AC, and a well stocked kitchen. Was nice to grill up some food, and watch the sunset over the water and and listen to the fire crackle in the fire pit. A great part of the charm was the pontoon boat and other boats for rent at very reasonable prices. We had the whole extended family out for a sunset cruise over Long Lake that will make for a fond memory. The property also had a canoe, kayack, and paddle board for use for free with a great selection of life preserves. We look forward to coming back.

Great Place!

Property was really nice, clean, bigger than expected & even had all the essentials. Chris was SO responsive the whole time leading up to stay & during our stay. Large patio, dock was great fishing off of with the little & fire pit with stocked wood was great! We had a great time & would definitely stay again. Thanks Chris for your hospitality!

Amazing Views and Super Relaxing

Great little get-away!

The cottage was so charming and clean. Chris was very responsive to anything we needed throughout our stay and we enjoyed his company when he stopped by to check on us. We rented a pontoon as well which worked wonderfully for our larger family. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing, super fun stay on Long Lake!
