Waitarere Beach Escape

Located on Waitarere Beach Main Road.

Our Escape is for all, surrounded by the local forest, great for families and couples to get away. A linear built house, with a spacious deck onto a large open area, village shop's and park are within walking distance with a bottle store directly opposite the driveway.

There is a great backyard for kids to run around on or just for basking in the sun. The local campgrounds are very close by if you have friends or family holidaying also.

The Waitarere Domain is a 3-minute walk from the bach which features a couple of small playgrounds, a half pipe, and toilets. There are also a couple of barbeques which are free to use at your leisure

On your way to the beach which is less than 10 minutes walk away, There is a little cafe and gift store right next to the Foursquare which by the way has the best Pies around!

The beach has a fabulous restaurant at its entrance but if you're just feeling some good old fish and chips along with the restaurant there is another fish and chip shop about 150 metres from the bach doorstep.

Levin is our closest town, a 10-minute drive away where there are many food joints to choose from as well as 3 supermarkets, The Warehouse, Farmers and many other shops where you will find everything you need.

For families, there is also Levin's famous Adventure Playground which has a great coffee shop for the adults while the kids tire themselves out on the very large park playground before heading back to the beach house which keeps cool in the summer but heats very quickly from the fireplace during the cold season. We also have two electric heaters available.

Our little bach is perfect for your next quiet getaway with a loved one, family or friends. There is have a high chair and porta cot available for use if needed.

Everyone at the beach is absolutely lovely, welcoming and always willing to help or just stop for a chat!

Private house that suited our work schedule well. Nice place to spend the evenings after work. Enjoyed the sun and deck on Tuesday night, enjoyed the fire on Wednesday. Huge range of kitchen accessories that made cooking dinner really easy. When cleaning, the sponge for the mop did come off while we were mopping sorry! Excellent stay. Easy access. Affordable and close to any resources needed.

This is a lovely house to stay in. Comfortable beds, plenty of space and a nice big garden for the dog. A bonus was having the garage set up as a games room. We will be staying here again.

The freezer smell of rotten fish. Fridge has funky smell. Bathroom smell funky. Inadequate beddings. All beddings smell old and unclean. Spare beddings were ripped and stained. Old sheets. Blinds were broken. No bedroom heating - we had to sleep with our wool and puffer coats with gloves and socks. So. So dusty. Rusty gates. The conditions were so bad that we had to leave early to find other accommodation. My request for a refund of the second night was ignored.

Welcome getaway to Waitarere

The property is everything we needed for a chilled out weekend. Clean and cozy. The log burner was very welcome. Our doggie loved the beach and then being able to fall asleep feeling warm by the fire.

Lots of space and everything you need

We had a great couple of nights here - very clean and plenty of space. There were only two of us, however you could easily have two small families staying here. It was also great to have a well set up fireplace.

Lovely sunny holiday

This property was a lovely home to stay in. We stayed for almost a week and didnt want for anything! We commented to each other how clean and fresh the home smelled when we arrived. Very comfortable and well appointed with the beach just a stroll away through the lovely little beach community. I recommend this home for couples and families as there is something for everyone. Great stay in Waitārere beach

Really enjoyed our stay at this Bach and appreciated that linen is provided unlike a typical kiwi Bach (though you do have to put it on yourself which I didn’t realise) but no biggie! Our doggo had a great time.
