Waipu Cove Beach - BAREFOOT COTTAGE

Nestled in the heart of Waipu Cove is the perfect getaway for couples with easy access and view to the most beautiful beach and voted New Zealands Top Beach of the year, only 5 minutes walk away. Relax and swim all day or hang out on the deck and take in the view. This cosy, comfy Cottage has everything you will need for either a weekend escape or a weeks total unwind.
Explore the coastal walk or the Fairy Terns along the beach. So many destinations in either direction from The Cove you will always have something to do and find. The Cove Cafe serves delicious food either takeaway or dine-in. Waipu township and the world famous McClouds Pizza Barn and Brewery is only a short drive away. Only 1 1/2 hours from Auckland Barefoot Cottage makes for a perfect getaway.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAY WEEKENDS MIN OF 2 NIGHTS: ANNIVERSARY, WAITANGI, ANZAC, KINGS BIRTHDAY, LABOUR WEEKEND. EASTER Weekend minimum 3 nights. December 26 - January 31 minimum 3 nights unless spare nights available.

We loved Barefoot Cottage. Within a small area Margie has created a delightful, comfortable and spotless haven.We wanted for absolutely nothing and had more treats than we ever expected.The views were spectacular, the bed very comfortable and the shower pressure excellent.The situation is perfect with just short walk to the beach and cafe.

Excellent location. Smaller than I was expecting but immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed without feeling crammed - just had to look around inside the cupboards. Hosts were friendly and very helpful. Peaceful setting.

Beautiful little cottage, quality bed, linen etc. Everything that you could ask for. The view is outstanding and the location is right in the heart of the cove. We would love to return. The host was fab too, so lovely and great communication.

This is our second time staying at this thoughtfully equipped well appointed charming cottage with beautiful ocean views. The cottage is a short three minute walk to the amazing Waipu Cove beach and the fantastic Cove restaurant. We love this location and highly recommend this very peaceful retreat.

Margie was a most gracious host — friendly and responsive in all her communication. The cottage was so charming, with many thoughtful touches throughout. Everything was as advertised, if not better. It’s a short walk to a beautiful beach, a well-stocked general store, and a terrific café/restaurant. We loved our stay!

The host was very friendly and welcoming. The property is very bright, cozy and comfortable. The host pays amazing attention to detail, way beyond the expectations of a holiday home. This was our second stay at Barefoot Cottage and we would thoroughly recommend it. Waipu Cove is a beautiful location too.

Comfortable and well located

Although the NZ weather was not welcoming, the Barefoot Cottage made up for it. It is ideal for a couple, clean, tidy and an excellent view of the ocean. An easy walk to the nearby cafe and beach (if only it was beach weather). We would definitely stay there again.
