We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas holidays. Our hosts left us a small Christmas tree which was so sweet and added to our festivities with small children. The place was clean, had all the amenities. We would definitely stay there again! Mahalo

Beautiful home!

True to the description, the home was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for an amazing two-week stay! From ample seating in the living and dining rooms and patios, comfortable sofas and beds, and a fully stocked kitchen (with grill utensils!), to beach toys, blankets, a much-loved beach wagon, towels and more! The location of the unit was terrific--only a very short distance to the pool and outdoor grills. Highly recommend!

The property gives larger families a great option over a cramped hotel room. Many amenities were provided, including barbecue grills near the pool area, tennis courts and fitness centers. And the Villa counted on two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, cable and private washing machines. What needs improvement are the cleanliness and the condition of the villa. The entrance has a window with a broken blind curtain that could not be closed. I used a cardboard box to keep the sun from blasting light on our faces in the morning. The tub curtain in the downstairs bathroom was moldy and in need of change. That same bathroom had a window without a window screen (Inadequate ventilation). And sometime in the middle of night, the pipes in the vanity bathroom upstairs started to leak. Luckily I shut off the valve to the vanity and that seemed to do the trick in preventing further water damage but not before creating a softball size bubble in the kitchen ceiling below. I called in the property manager and during one of our excursions they sent in a handyman who cut out the bubble in the ceiling and left a piece of wood temporarily covering the hole. The repair and use of the faucet was not reinstated for the remainder of our trip.

Great condo in Waikaloa

Waikaloa Colony Villa Condos are conveniently located in the Waikaloa Resort area. They are well maintained and very quiet! Pool area is beautiful! Condo is well appointed with spices, beach towels, kitchen supplies, beach chairs, and pool noodles. Beds are comfortable and ceilings fans keep condo cool enough, we didn’t need to use the air conditioning very often at all. We would love to stay here again!!

Great location, lots of space!

Good: Townhome is in a really great location in Waikoloa and also near a beautiful pool (we were the only people at the pool every time we went!). It felt spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. They provided an ice chest and beach chairs which was awesome! We left two life vests (one kid, one adult) for future rental guest use. Overall, really nice and just as pictured. Not so good: Downstairs bed is not good. We had to trade off who slept there because it was so uncomfortable. The AC is also a mystery, instructions said it was motion activated but every time we turned it on, it worked and then quickly turned off. I think the schedule is set to keep it at 80 and we couldn’t figure out how to adjust. Thankfully only made for a few hot nights.

Nice location in beautiful community but missed welcome feeling

Loved this area of Big Island. The property was clean and neighborhood safe. Would have given it 5 stars if property had items that would make you feel welcome like coffee for the first day and Soap/Shampoo/Conditioner in both bathrooms (not just one). It had a full kitchen but no cooking supplies like Salt/Pepper or cooking spray or coffee cream/sugar. Had to buy them and then throw it all away when we left...it seemed wasteful.

Hawaii for Christmas

The challenge about going on vacation over Christmas is when the a/c breaks down before your trip starts, it can't be replaced until halfway through your 9day stay. Our condo was also not as clean as expected. Otherwise, it was a good base for our excursions. The location was great. Pool was nearby. Beach is a short drive away.
