Tree Fern Escape es una escapada cómoda y acogedora a solo minutos del Parque Nacional. 3 dormitorios, 2 baños, propiedad encantadora, hermosos pisos de madera noble, recién amueblados con un gran patio privado. Suficiente para las familias grandes grande, lo suficientemente acogedora para parejas.

Gran dormitorio principal con un montón de ventanas, hermosas vistas al jardín y su propia terraza privada. Dos habitaciones decoradas con buen gusto.

Gran salón con cocina, comedor y sala de estar y una gran terraza cubierta, ideal para relajarse, comer y divertirse al aire libre.

Recientemente (octubre de 2016) remodelado cocina con gabinetes, mostradores de granito y todos los electrodomésticos de acero nuevo!

Volcano!

We were Lava tracking...close enough to the Park to be there in under 5 minutes yet far enough away to escape the crowds. Very quiet neighborhood. Amazing birds right in the yard. I hope to stay here again, it fit our family needs perfectly. Thank you.

Great Hideaway

This property is immaculate. The gardens are pristine and well maintained. The yard is huge and a great place for toddlers to roam around. The inside of house had everything for our stay. The host has thought of everything from coolers, to board games, to toys for kids. Who would have ever thought coming to Hawaii would require the use of a heater at night? But they had us covered. I will definitely look to book this house again!

Great Place to Stay

This house was perfect for our family. It was easy to access and very clean. It really felt like they put time and effort into including things we would need/enjoy! Our kids enjoyed the board games. Highly recommend!

We wish we stayed a few more days. Cathy & Jeff's rental was comfortable- one of those rentals where they pay attention to details to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. Stocked bathrooms and kitchen, clean laundry machines, plenty of towels... everything was just great. Thank you so much!

Everything we needed for our Volcano stay

Our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful Volcano home for 3 nights. It is minutes away from Volcano National Park, which allowed for several trips to the park during the day and night. We prepared several meals in the home and found everything we needed. We appreciated the binder of resources and information, and definitely appreciated the space heaters for the colder January nights. We chose not to use the wood stove but it would’ve been lovely. Our 3 children had plenty of space and we enjoyed walking the streets in the mornings.

Magical Fern Forest

We were very happy with the place, house was conveniently located, easy to find. Very well equipped with everything you may possibly need. Super cozy with the fire place for colder nights. We enjoyed the stay to the max. Definitely would come back to this magical Fern Forest place.

Nice location close to National Park

Our group is a married couple with 2 teens. This house was really nice for all of us to have our own space but also spaces to hang out and eat together. The location was great for visiting the National Park. We also visited the northwest coast area up to Waipi’o look out. It was a long drive but not worth switching locations for us, the house was only about 45 minutes south of Hilo. Our 17 year old is a runner and he found plenty of places to run and felt safe. The house is surrounded by nature and the sounds of nature.

A lovely place to relax after hiking the park

We came to this part of the island for a couple of nights to give us more time at Volcano National Park. This rental was clean, cozy, well stocked and reasonably priced. We hiked A LOT and the rental was cozy & comfy after a day of damp hiking. We didn’t cook here at all, but it is very well stocked with plates, utensils, small appliances (like a crock pot) and a coffee maker. Light switches were labeled and made life easier. Wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this rental again. If we ever find ourselves on the Big island again, we will be back!

Great place to stay

Very relaxing place and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There are 3 pheasants that come by each day and they are tame looking for handouts. The wood stove has a door gasket that needs to be fixed so we didn't start a fire and the place does cool down in the evenings but a single space heater was plenty to keep it cozy and there are space heaters for every room. Overall really enjoyed it!

A New Favorite

My husband and I have stayed in many vacation rentals in Volcanoes - many great, some not so great. This 3 bed, 2 bath home was new to us and fit our needs to a T!. We had another couple with us and the 2 bathrooms afforded privacy as well as the master on one side and the 2 other bedrooms on the other. Loved the kitchen and wood stove (which warmed up the living area very nicely). The front lanai was spacious, and had a bird feeder and feed which we enjoyed. Cleanliness is a high priority for us and this cabin was well cared for and clean and the yard well maintained. We went for dinner one night at KMC to see how the menu had changed. Reasonable prices and reasonable food. Also played golf one day which was a pretty rainy experience that we enjoyed anyway!! We had a question about lights and contacted the Manager who got back to us right away and resolved the issue for us. These managers are really nice to work with. All in all, we will add this cabin to our Favorites List! Mahalo!

Fantastic Stay

Beautiful property, home away from home. Great location close to shops and Volcano NP. Everything you need for a great vacation, lovely interior, comfortable beds, peaceful gardens and very well equipped. Easy self-check in and communicative hosts. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Cozy Cottage in a Rainforest!

We enjoyed our second stay at this lovely cottage in a lush, green setting. Very clean and well-stocked, including extras like slippers, coffee and fresh flowers for a welcoming touch. We appreciated being so close to Volcanoes Park and Hilo - made several visits to both! The whole experience was perfect. This cottage was a highlight of our trip and we plan to return next year!

Needs some work

It's clear that the owner and property manager care about the guests experience and try their best. We appreciated the macademia nuts and fresh flowers. However, the bathrooms were sub par and my kids didn't feel comfortable taking a shower in their bathroom, it had a few bugs and it didn't looks clean. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the master bathroom, either. The property had a musty, damp smell, and I wish that the sheets were white. Printed flannel sheets at rental property just didn't feel clean, nor did the quilts which I wish had been encased in a duvet cover so they could have been washed. Maybe they were washed, but it just didn't feel like they had been.

Amazing home in a quiet and peaceful area, minutes away from VNP and Volcano Village. The home was our hub for brief visits around town and all-day adventures to Hilo and VNP. It felt like home and was so welcoming. We hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed the house--great stars at night and a deck perfect for morning coffee. We appreciated the proximity to the national park--it was easy to pop over at night to see the lava!

Quiet Accommodations in Volcano

This was a great place to stay within minutes to Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village. Grounds were well maintained and the house was clean and comfortable. The beds (in the main room and front room) were not the most comfortable but they were fine for our two night stay. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed to make our dinner at home one night. We didn’t use the fireplace but had we stayed longer we would have loved it as it gets pretty chilly at night. We enjoyed the puzzles provided, especially since it was rainy most of the time we were at the house. Toiletries were provided as well as plenty of towels. My only complaint was the musty smell throughout the home but I understand that with the particular weather conditions of that area and type of structure we were in, dampness is common. We would recommend this home for anyone planning to spend their time in Volcano.

Rest + Relaxation

This cozy little cabin exceeded our expectations... it was exactly what we all needed for our little getaway from Oahu. The interior was stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable— cookware, games, a fireplace, and extra bedding. The yard + patio combo was a dream space to just kick back and relax. A few friends thoroughly enjoyed the papasan chair :) So lucky to experience a magical show from Pele during our stay... an absolutely beautiful and once in a lifetime experience. Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your home.
