This rustic mountain home sits at the majestic gate of Zion National Park with all its stunning grandeur, offering unparalleled views that you'll never forget.

Escape Properties are here as a tool during your stay, but we try to stay out of your way as you enjoy your vacation. If you need us we are here!

You will have access to the entire home.
You are 14 miles from Zions, 9 miles to Hurricane and only 27 to St. George.

This is a spacious mountain home with 3 Bedrooms, plus a family room off the Great Room and a bonus bunk-room downstairs where it's nice and cool. The large windows in the Great Room allow for plenty of light and sunshine as well as captivating views of the nearby red cliffs. The home is quiet and secluded - only 22 minutes to Zion NP or 10 Minutes to Hurricane. (Location, location, location!) This home provides easy access to nearby trails, Gooseberry Mesa, and Zion National Park, as well as to plenty of great food in Springdale.

Parking: This home allows up to 3 cars, which must all be in designated areas. There is no street level parking permitted. Trailers and RV's ARE Permitted.

Configuration:
The Master suite offers a Queen bed that sleeps 1-2 persons. This suite has a private en-suite bath with separate shower.
Guest Suite 1, located on the main floor, has a Queen bed and sleeps 1-2 persons. The bath, though not private, is located next to the suite.
Guest Suite 2, Located on the main floor, Twin size bunk beds. Sleeps 1-2 persons

Pets: All properties are non-pet, non-smoking for guests - owners may or may not have had pets on the property. If you have allergies to pets, it is your responsibility to notify us.

Smoking: This is a strict NON SMOKING property. (This includes Vaping). We ask guests to not smoke in the home or on the property. A fee, not to be less than $250, will be charged for violation of this rule.

Though the St George area has a small town feel, most venues are not in walking distance. A car is highly recommended.

This home is located near the main entrance of Zion National Park (about 9 miles)

2-4 days before arrival you will get a link to our check in instructions. Please check that your number is updated in Airbnb. If your number changes after booking, please send a message and let us know. All occupancies subject to owner approval.

If you are staying at the property on 'Trash Day' please take the trash cans (located on the side of the garage) to the curb. Take them out THURSDAY NIGHT and bring them back up FRIDAY AFTERNOON or when dumped/empty. Thanks in advance - its a long drive from St. George and I want to keep guest charges down.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.

Perfect Retreat

Loved our stay at the Flying Monkey Mesa. Enjoyed the lovely patio and back yard, the kitchen was well equipped, appreciate all the bathroom amenities and the wide variety of family games.

4 women go hiking

We wanted a home that would comfortably accommodate 4 women on a hiking trip to Zion. This place was perfect. Large roomy, with extra large window to show off the view. Zion was a 20 minute drive from the house. We left each morning at 7:30 and didn't have any trouble finding parking in the park. Our favorite restaurant was Oscars cafe on the main drag. The weather was perfect. I would definitely rent it again if I'm ever in the area.

Good Property in Virgin, UT

The property was great - spacious, private, washer and dryer, close (14 miles) to Zion and a Super Walmart close by in Hurricane (which had loads of stores and restaurants). Not so great - the foul smell when we entered the home and the property management company uses an automated system. I left 3 messages on Saturday evening at the phone # they gave me and received a call back on Wednesday, two days after we left. We had to stream the Super Bowl on our phone because we didn't have the pin number to the Roku. We also found two dead mice (which were the cause of the odor). So sad, because I'm sure the owner was not aware of the circumstances.

Great Location & Great Views!

We really enjoyed staying at this house. Our trip was specifically for Zion National Park and this house was located only about 20 minutes from the entrance, so it was perfect! We loved relaxing on the couch in the living room with the huge windows and taking in the view! I would definitely book this home again!

Quiet Spot in Virgin, Utah

We really enjoyed this property. It’s located about 25 minutes from the Zion entrance. The house was clean, spacious, and well stocked with amenities for a pleasant stay.

Zion Getaway

The house was the perfect size for our group! It is nicely decorated and furnished. It has a nice big dining table! We used all the the beds-including the futon. The futon was not very nice, and it was hard to find good bedding to put on it. The property management company was difficult to contact, and the links they sent me for early check-in and late check-out did not work. My biggest issue was that there were mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. That was hard to get over.

Convenient to Zion

We had a pleasant stay and were satisfied with everything except the cookware provided. The pots and pans were in very poor condition, with badly scratched Teflon and warped bottoms that didn’t work well on the convection range. The supply of towels and wash cloths could have been more generous especially since very little laundry detergent was provided. The home is very clean, nicely decorated and as attractive as pictured. Lovely shower in the master bath!

Nice escape close to Zion

Flying Monkey Mesa is a beautiful property with a lot more room than the four of us required. (It can easily accommodate another 4 people) The picture window living room is gorgeous. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen one night and had a great barbecue dinner at Lonnie's in Hurricane another. Zion was an easy 20 minutes away. Zion itself and Springdale are crazy busy though. Great Location and Lots of Space

Stayed here two nights will visiting Zion. The house is large and clean and located in a very convenient location. The kitchen is well stocked and views from the family room are great. There are a few restaurants in Virgin and we went to the Cactus Room twice. Great food and you get to meet Bob! Try the burgers. It’s nice being away from the craziness of Zion and if you want to go to town for more shopping and restaurants LaVerkin/Hurricane area is close by for groceries etc.

Great spot to explore Zion

The home is in a great spot to visit Zion and surrounding areas. We had plenty of space to relax after a long day of hiking at the canyon. And the views in the morning and evening added to the experience. We definitely enjoyed our time here.

Great stay near Zion

Location was a very convenient & short drive to Zion national park. All the perks of being close but being in a quiet neighborhood perfect for star gazing. Only had 3 people with us but this would be optimal for a larger family to stay. Tons of space and plenty of extra towels, pillows, etc. Very clean on the inside as well. Beautiful views from the living room. Overall the pictures don’t do this property justice. Much larger and more beautiful in person.
