Charming Vineyard Haven home on golf course with private beach access

This ideally located home is tucked away in a cul-de-sac abutting the Mink Meadows Golf Club. A five minute walk leads to a mile-long private association beach with a salt water pond perfect for kids. Come and go to the beach— west facing for beautiful sunsets—or play a round of golf. A deck runs the length of the house overlooking a large wooded back yard and the fairway beyond. Often visited by deer and hummingbirds, it is only a ten minute drive to the Vineyard Haven ferry and shops. Please note that this is our summer home, not just a rental. You will find personal effects in the house, spices and food staples in the cupboards, children's toys in the toy chest, lots of books, etc.

The house is set on one and a half wooded acres on a very quiet cul-de-sac in the private community surrounding the Mink Meadows Golf Club. Located in the prestigious West Chop area of Tisbury, you step back in time to the old Vineyard of lazy days on deserted beaches and cool nights dining alfresco after watching the sunset. And of course all the restaurants and shops of Vineyard Haven are only a ten minute drive away.

Airy rooms with antique wide plank floors are outfitted with everything you need to relax and enjoy a Vineyard getaway. This is not a rental but our summer home, as such it is set up with every amenity that you will need for your stay including linens, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room and living room, decks extending the length of the house, grill, outdoor shower etc.

As you enter the house there is a study to your right with a queen sleeper. Straight ahead you will find a laundry closet and beyond a spacious master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower. A sliding door from the master leads to the deck and a chaise lounge for lazy afternoons reading a book under the canopy of trees.

To the left of the foyer you enter the two story post and beam living room with a wall of windows as well as a skylight and a slider leading to the deck. Comfortable seating and a 65" smart TV and Sonos music systems allow you to while away the evenings or those rainy days. A stone fireplace can be used in the shoulder seasons to take the chill out of the air and for cozy evenings at home.

Past the living room you will find a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances including a gourmet induction stove and every amenity. Across the kitchen is a bright dining room with a extension table that can sit eight to ten for meals. A slider from the dining room leads to the deck where you will find a large table that will sit eight as well for alfresco dining steps from the kitchen and grill.

Past the dining room and kitchen there is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. A door at the end of the corridor leads to the outside and the outside shower, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach - specially little ones - or for the simple joy of showering outside.

Upstairs from the living room there is a third full bath with a shower at the top of the stairs and two bedrooms. The bedroom on the right is the 'kids room' and has a queen and a twin bed. The bedroom straight ahead is very quiet and has a queen sized bed.

If you head to the basement you will find a plethora of summer entertainment options including a game console setup, a regulation ping pong table, a foosball table and an upright piano. A perfect place for the kids to hang out as the adults linger upstairs after dinner.
