Les Planches de Villard 5* Chalet – Terrace, sauna – Alpe d’Huez area

Les Planches de Villard, a chalet sleeping 12, is situated in a complex of three new chalets in the Alpe d’Huez ski area, at the foot of the slopes in the village of Villard-Reculas (1,500 metres above sea level, an hour’s journey from Grenoble railway station).

The living area is very light and comprises a large dining area and a 50m² lounge with a fireplace.
It opens southwards onto a private, ground-level terrace with a large table, benches and sun loungers. Views of the Taillefer and Belledonne mountain ranges. The brand-new kitchen is fully equipped for 12 people.

Guests can enjoy après-ski in various areas (games provided) or by the fireside (firewood supplied).
A few steps separate the living room from the rest of the flat, and a spacious hallway leads to:

Bedroom 1 – 1 double bed (160) with en-suite shower room
Bedroom 2 – 2 single beds (80 x 2 or 160, at the tenant’s discretion)
Bedroom 3 – 2 sets of bunk beds (90) with en-suite shower room
Bedroom 4 – 1 double bed (160) with en-suite shower room
Bedroom 5 or sleeping loft – 2 x 90 beds, 1 cot
A fourth separate bathroom with toilet and bath
2 separate toilets

Next is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a second fridge.
The spacious ski room is part of the flat and ensures a stress-free start to your day on the slopes and at ski lessons, just a 100-metre walk away. It is equipped with boot dryers, coat racks, sledge storage and more.
The sauna is also located here. In summer, the ski room serves as a storage area for bicycles.
Three spaces are available in the residence’s secure covered car park for cars (maximum height 2m), with direct access to the flat.

The Villard-Reculas ski area is self-contained (ESF, ski hire, altitude 1,500–2,100 m) and is also linked to the Alpe d’Huez ski area (up to 3,330 m) by a simple 6-seater chairlift.

Alternatively, after two bends by car or on foot along the road: within 5 minutes, you’ll reach the shops at the base of the slopes, the ESF office, a mini-market, Sport 2000 and the tourist office.
A 10-minute stroll to the old village: playground, historic chalets.

Hotel-style services included: personalised welcome, beds made, towels provided and end-of-stay cleaning. An additional cleaning service can be arranged on request during your stay. This service is at the tenant’s expense and must be booked in advance (allow €90 for 2 hours’ cleaning). It is included for rentals of 7 days or more.
