We absolutely loved this cabin! Great amount of space for everyone (we had 3 adults and 5 teenagers). Everyone had their own bed, the kids loved the pool table and we all loved the fireplace and views from every window. There were extra blankets in every room, warm bedding on all the beds (which were very comfortable). The kitchen had everything we needed, both a Keurig and a coffee pot for lots of coffee or single cup use, great selection of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware, there’s even a crock pot in the closet in the bathroom. If you’re planning who to sleep where (during winter months) the upstairs is warmest (heat from the fireplace rises and it’s about 10 degrees warmer upstairs), main level is comfortable and downstairs (the bunk beds by the pool table) was the coldest level (probably 10 degrees cooler than the main level). It was perfect for our teenage boys who loved the colder room and the teenage girls all slept upstairs in the loft where it was warmest. Those who like it cooler when they sleep should be on the main level. It worked out perfectly for everyone in our group!
Tip: if you’re planning to ski during the holiday season, get there no later than 8am or you’ll be stuck in lines all day. Don’t even bother trying to tube on Sugar Mountain, we waited hours for tickets and they sold out every session in about 15 minutes. Go online in advance of your trip and reserve tubing tickets at Hawks Nest or Beech Mountain instead.
