Vila do Conde rental

We had a lovely stay in Vila do Conde. Our host was very helpful and quickly addressed any issues or questions that came up. She checked in occasionally to make sure we were doing fine and so was very responsive. Check in was good. She met us and walked us through the apartment explaining appliances house rules and proving information about the area. One point about them in that was surprising was the contract we were asked to sign. There were 2 copies one in Portuguese and a “complimentary “ copy in English. We had never seen this contract before. We stayed in 6 other VRBO properties on this trip however no other host requires we sign a contract at check in. We were a bit nervous given we had not been given a copy to review in advance of check in. We had no idea if the Portuguese document said the same as the English version and yet the English version stated that in case of dispute between the 2 versions, the Portuguese version prevailed. We signed it because we felt our pre check in interactions with the host were all done with integrity. However, as Americans we are by nature suspicious of contracts. This contract was essentially a lease and probably binding. In the future I think it would be helpful to provide the lease at least 60 days before check In so the guest has time to review.

Eine wunderbare Ferienwohnung - vielen Dank!!

Wir haben tolle drei Wochen verlebt. Die Ferienwohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man als Familie braucht! Die Wohnung liegt ideal – die Wege zum Strand und in die Stadt sind nicht weit, man kann die Umgebung erkunden. Die Vermieter haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und waren immer für uns da! Vielen lieben Dank noch einmal für alles.

Great flat few minutes from the sea

We stayed at Filomena's flat which is just off the cost (you can see the see from two windows). The apartment is located on the second floor and was clean and contained everything you need for a longer stay, including washing machine and dishwasher. Both bedrooms are very spacious with storage and the kitchen was fully supplied with pans, pots and everything needed to eat in regularly. The property is located in a very quiet street while being close to amenities, bakery and supermarket. Only thing to be mindful of (in case you are a very light sleeper or are travelling with one) is that in one of the bedrooms you can hear at times the noise of the lift in operation, but again this might not be a problem for most of people. All in all we enjoyed our stay and Filomena's warm hospitality

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, die man erwartet. Die Lage ist sehr gut, 100 Meter bis zum Strand. Einziges Manko ist der etwas desolate Innenhof mit dem kaputten Glasdach des nicht mehr nutzbaren Tiefgarage.

Appartement agréable spacieux et confortable avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Vila do Condé malgré cette année une météo capricieuse. Filomena nous a bien accueilli et nous a guidé pour les visites durant notre séjour. Le petit plus aurait été peut être le balcon où nous mangions côté vue sur mer ....

Relaxing and very peacefull.

Lovely apartment everything you need for self catering holiday. Filomena is truly lovely and very welcoming. She kept in touch to make sure we were comfortable and had no problems. Filomena also able to recommend local restaurants and provided us with maps of area. Very clean and comfortable property. Thank you Filomena for your hospitality.

Spacieux et proximité de la plage

Vous avez vu les photos et bien tout y est conforme avec en plus tout le confort lave linge lave vaisselle. Un balcon côté chambre avec vue sur la mer. Le balcon côté cuisine donne sur la cour Mais très grand pour y prendre les repas. Les plus : deux salles de bain on a apprécié - une place de parking Et surtout des propriétaires charmants sachant accueillir (Porto de bienvenu) Et sachant conseiller (Merci Filomena) Possibilité de faire ses courses à pied. Bref dommage c est déjà terminé pour nous.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung

Diese schöne Ferienwohnung liegt in der Nähe des schönen Strandes von Vila do Conde. Wir wurden von Filomena und Ihrem Mann empfangen und mit Informationen über die Wohnung und nähere Ausflugsziele versorgt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man zum "Kochen wie Zuhause" benötigt. Wir waren zu vier Personen in dieser Wohnung und hatten ausreichend Platz und Gemütlichkeit! Vila do Conde liegt sehr zentral, sodass wir geplant, alle interessanten Orte in Nordportugal erreichen konnten. Die direkte Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus war außerdem sehr vorteilhaft. Wir danken Filomena und ihrem Mann für Ihre Freundlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit und freuen uns jetzt schon auf einen weiteren Urlaub bei Ihnen und Ihrer tollen Wohnung!!!

Séjour parfait, logement au top ainsi que l'accueil !!!!!

Beau séjour dans un superbe appartement conforme à la description !!!! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Filomena et son époux. Des gens d'une extrême gentillesse et surtout présents si nécessaire !!!! Nous conseillons et recommandons vivement cette location qui nécessite toutefois une location de voiture afin de bien découvrir la région qui est magnifique !!!! Merci encore à Filomena et à son époux !!!!

A pleasant stay

A well-equipped apartment near the beach. Filomena and her husband welcomed us with delicious pasteis and had provided everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Thank you! What we liked very much was the location - a good base for our trips to the north and south. As the coast was not too hot, we could recover from the heat in the places we visited further inside the country. A tip for vegetarians and their meat-loving partners - try Anastacia Delicatesses in Vila do Conde very close to Povoa de Varzim. They provide excellent food for vegetarians as well as nice meat dishes and lovely fish at very reasonable prices.

uneingeschränkte Empfehlung

Die Wohnung befindet sich in der 2. Etage, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung. Die Wohnung ist groß, hat eine große Küche und einen schönen Essplatz. Die zwei Badezimmer machen die Wohnung für einen Familienaufenthalt perfekt. In der Wohnung wird auch im Mietpreis enthaltenes W-Lan in guter Geschwindigkeit angeboten. Unseren Mietwagen konnten wir auf einem abgesperrten Parkplatz direkt am Haus abstellen, also - keine Parkplatzsuche. Strände, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen und Filomena versorgt einen mit guten Tipps per e-mail und wenn es zeitlich passt auch persönlich. Empfehlenswert sind Besuche in Porto und Guimaraes. Auch die Strände sind sehr schön. Für Familien möchten wir darauf hinweisen, dass der Aufzug des Hauses sehr klein ist und nur Buggys plus einer Begleitperson hineinpassen. Kinder sollten den Aufzug nicht allein benutzen, da die Kabine keine gesonderte Tür hat, d.h die Kabine ist auf der Eingangsseite nicht geschlossen. Man fährt also "offen" an der Aufzugswand entlang bis zur gewählten Haltestelle und dort öffnet man die Tür zum Treppenraum selber (keine Automatik). Das wurde den Kindern einmal erklärt und dann hat das auch geklappt. Sie haben ganz einfach die Treppe benutzt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wären gern länger geblieben und können die Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen.

Bel appartement confortable

Très bon accueil des propriétaires, ok pour les explications de l'utilisation des équipements ( machine à laver le linge et vaisselle , accès wifi, ...) Appartement plutôt bien placé, 100 m de la plage et superbe allée au bord pour les belles promenades (même si la mer n'est visible que des chambres), commerces et choix de restaurants à côté . Nous avons bien apprécié la propreté de l'appartement , le petit cadeau de bien venu, son accessibilité avec parking. Il reste bien frais par forte chaleur, même sans clim. Connexion internet wifi 100% opérationnel et satisfait . Nous avons bien aimé les 2 salles de bain Pour compléter le confort , peut être manque-t-il une petite table de nuit et 2 ou 3 étagères dans la salle de bain avec douche. Nous avons bien apprécié cet appartement pendant notre séjour, adresse à conserver et à partager.

A lovely comfortable, clean, well equipped appartment.

We had a lovely holiday staying at Filomena's appartment. Our flight times were changed to a later departure time a few weeks before flying, so Filomena and her husband kindly picked us up from airport. As it was around midnight that we arrived at apartment Filomena had been kind enough to have got some provisions in for us , which we were really grateful for. The appartment was lovely, consisting of entrance hall, a comfortable lounge/ dining room, large well equipped kitchen ...both with doors leading to a large balcony. Bathroom with shower cubicle and another bathroom with shower over the bath. 2 good sized bedrooms . The master bedroom had a balcony . Wifi is available. The appartment is across the road from the beach with snack bars and restaurants near. Lidl is just down the road and the town is 10 min walk with bars and restaurants. There is a market on a Friday in the market place (opposite the tourist office) Filomena emailed me in the week to check everything was good and I knew if we did have a problem she would help. I would recommend this appartment to my family and friends and would stay there again. Thank you Filomena it was a pleasure to meet you.

Nice apartment close to the beach and the old town

We spent an enjoyable and relaxing week at this comfortable apartment in Vila do Conde. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything you would need for your stay. The balcony was ideal for an alfresco breakfast or lunch and there is a bakery around the corner for fresh croissants and baguettes. Lidl is also about a 5 minute walk away. The old town is a 10-15 minute walk away where you will find a selection of restaurants, mainly specialising in seafood cooked on a bbq outside and which was very good value for money. Porto is easily accessed using the metro and many other places of interest including Viana do Castelo, Braga and Guimaraes are a short distance away.
