We had our micro wedding here

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. There was excellent communication from both Rene and Marcos the property manager before and during our stay. The villa and property is breath taking. We had our micro wedding elopement here and it was everything I wished for and more. It was very windy during our stay and weren’t able to swim in the ocean at the villa but we were grateful for the beautiful pool. We loooooved the horses that roam the island. 10/10 would recommend and would most certainly stay again in the future.

Incredible beach!

We found the house to be exactly as advertised! Communication with the concierge and property manager was exceptional. The pool was fantastic entertainment for the kids. And the private beach was our favorite, even after visiting many many other beaches on the island. We barely spent any time indoors. We traveled to multiple neighborhoods on the island and by far this was the best. This vacation will definitely have a special place in our hearts.

Just as listed! It’s a beautiful home, in a gorgeous location. The open floor plan downstairs is really nice. The kitchen is well appointed… every type of drink ware you could want. The bathrooms are beautiful. Great communication and response from the owner Rene. Would return and highly recommend!

Book this place now…. It’s unreal

This house is absolutely amazing, the location is perfect - the property is meticulously maintained. Pros: - private secluded beach in gated development - house is absolutely gorgeous and huge - pool overlooks the ocean - wonderful views from anywhere on the property - walkable to where you can rent a UTV to get around the island (about $80/day) - 10 minutes from the vieques airport (definitely fly to the island the ferry is a royal pain…. It’s a 17 min flight from SJU and only about $180… well worth it) -Rene is communicative, helpful, polite - awesome host -Rene’s assistant, Naiomy (sp) is fantastic - she helped us so much during the stay - everything from showing us about the house to giving us restaurant recommendations Cons: -none Definitely book this place - you won’t regret it!

Our overall experience at this house was good. The property is as described and in a nice private area. The house was great for the kids. The freely roaming horses around the beach made the experience for our kids even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and all with a nice view. Our only complaint is that the property was not as clean as we expected, esp the kitchen. Otherwise, the house has everything that family needs.

Great place for family vacation! Pool was excellent for the whole family! Beach access is great, we did snorkel the coral reef there. House was amazing! We enjoyed the gazebo, bbq and music speakers at night while the rest of family rested inside! Thank you! We will be back!

We had a great time here. House is right on the beach, close to the airport, grocery, etc. and is a short drive (~15-20 min) to some of most beautiful beaches we've been to. House is fully stocked with everything you need to have a nice relaxing vacation!

Spectacular Villa

This villa is a dream come true. The villa has beautiful rooms and all the furniture/sports equipment/etc. That you could want. The best thing about the villa is the outdoor patio and view of the pool down to the beach/water. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, so you can sit on the patio, sip your drink, and look at the most gorgeous view. The island has a lot of horses roaming free, and we happened to be there when they were dropping their colts. We had horses graze on the lot next door, so we got to see some newborn colts. So cool! We rented a car and ate at restaurants in both Isabel and Esperanza part of the time, but did a lot of cooking and grilling. This really is a dream house, and I highly recommend staying here. Vieques is a beautiful island with amazing, empty beaches.

Beautiful Location - Highly Recommend!!

This place was even more beautiful than the pictures! The location with the private beach (the only other house sharing the beach is being refurbished) was perfect for a relaxing get away. It was too windy to allow good snorkeling, but it would be ideal on calm days. Hector, the property manager went above and beyond to accommodate our needs…excellent service! We were a family of 4, all adults with 2 small dogs. The dogs loved the large yard and beach for play time. The property is partially fenced, open along the beach and partially on the sides. We have a couple of suggestions for improvement: 1. There are 3 jacuzzi tubs…one of which is massive. Installing at least one additional large capacity water heater would really help as there is insufficient hot water to get them anywhere near a comfortable level. 2. There are plastic mattress covers on all 3 beds that make the beds noisy and uncomfortable. We removed them for our stay and replaced them before we left. I’d recommend leaving them off, but available for clients with small children. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!! We hope to have another opportunity to visit your island paradise!

This property is all that is advertised and more! The beach is amazing, the house is well equipped and beautifully decorated. We snorkeled right there off the beach since we brought our own gear. Hector was helpful and Rene checked in on us often. The only downside is the house construction next door. It was only really a problem the first morning. I had enquired about it ahead of time, but Rene thought they would be finished by the time we got there. Not so. I suggest bringing earplugs and using a sound machine app on your phone. Still, the security, privacy and beauty of the house is worth it! We did not want to leave! Thanks for everything!

Perfect place to relax!

I was visiting with friends for a relaxing trip and Martineau Belle Playa was perfect. The amenities were very comfortable including the saltwater pool with great views of the ocean. The villa is in the ideal location, steps away from the beach. Thanks to Rene and his team for making our stay unforgettable. A special thanks to the concierge for coordinating transportation during our stay as well as great recommendations for food and entertainment. This was an incredible first trip to the island and I plan to visit again. Cheers!

Nice Villa BUT Heavy Construction Right Next Door (Weekdays)

Spent Easter Week here with my wife, daughter and 2 of her friends. First, the positive--the house is very nice with a beautiful pool/gazebo, great views, and its right on the water. The interior of the home is well maintained. Check-in was easy and I toured the property with Hector (the property manager) and ultimately met the owner (Rene) who swung by. Given Covid, we arranged for private housekeeping ourselves. Interactions before the trip were very positive & responsive--with the homeowner providing access to a concierge agent (Dimary)--who was fantastic. We arranged a private boat, airport pick-up/drop-off, bio-tours, and a private chef through her during our stay. The downside, unfortunately, was that the owner did not fully disclose anything upfront regarding the construction right next door--which occurred every weekday from on/around 7 AM up until 2 PM. And this wasn't just some errant hammers. The first Monday we were awoken by jack-hammers right after 7 AM. I conversed cordially with Rene the next day via VRBO regarding a neighborly courtesy of perhaps an 8:30/9 AM start. Rene mentioned he had some kind of arrangement therein and stated he'd speak with the owner who in turn would notify the work crew. The next day nothing changed so I again sent Rene a note but to no avail. Mid-week I even spoke with the construction crew supervisor myself who said he would chat with their owner. As per my chat with Rene--he informed me that the practice on Vieques is to start early/end early. I applaud the work ethic but it wasn't ideal. I was surprised that the property manager Hector didn't stop by to show any efforts to assist--even if futile. Overall, we fully understand the need to rebuild Vieques (especially after Hurricane Maria)--but the level of noise was distracting. So, if you engage herein--bring some earplugs. As the week progressed the commotion started even earlier (6:45 AM on the Thursday and Friday), Note that the master bedroom is a mere 100 feet away. Given the amount of work needed on the property next door, I would be surprised if this was completed until the end of 2021. I say this as my we own a construction/interior design firm ourselves. So back to the positive--when the work crews were gone, the villa vacation was very enjoyable (5 stars)--but unfortunately that occurred for only 2 out of the 7 days. Thus the 3-star rating. Anyone renting should get assurances that this situation is fixed.
