A cosy and affordable hideaway in the heart of Vernazza



Rissu Nice Studio is a bright and welcoming studio apartment located in the very heart of Vernazza, just a few steps from the train station, the marina and the village’s main street. Recently refurbished in winter 2023, it offers a neat, modern and comfortable space, ideal for travellers looking for an authentic stay in the Cinque Terre at a reasonable rate.



Situated on the ground floor (the first of the building on the window side), the studio enjoys a quiet position along one of Vernazza’s characteristic back lanes, away from the crowds of day-trippers yet extremely close to all essential services, shops, cafés and restaurants. Its windows open onto a curious and charming corner of village life, creating a peaceful atmosphere rarely found in such a central location.



The studio features a comfortable double bed, a practical kitchenette for light meals and a private bathroom. Climate control is ensured by a Dyson Hot & Cool Purifier, providing both heating and cooling throughout the year. A dedicated internet line guarantees a stable Wi-Fi connection during your stay.



The name Rissu, meaning sea urchin in the Vernazza dialect, reflects the spirit of this hidden little pearl: simple, genuine and surprisingly pleasant. It is an ideal choice for solo travellers or couples who wish to experience Vernazza and the Cinque Terre without sacrificing comfort, while keeping an eye on their budget.



The property and our check-in point are located close to the railway station, just a 3-minute walk away. Guests arriving by car should note that a public car park is located above the village, approximately 1,200 metres from the pedestrian area. A shuttle service connects the car park to the village entrance, followed by a short walk of about five minutes to our concierge office. Advance reservation of the car park is strongly recommended; the approximate cost is €20 per day and contact details will be provided after booking.



Small and medium-sized dogs are welcome, with a supplement and in accordance with house rules.



With its combination of tranquillity, central location and essential comforts, Rissu Nice Studio is a smart and enjoyable base for discovering the very best of Vernazza and the Cinque Terre at an accessible price.

Traveling solo hiker

Staff was wonderful. The room was clean and cute with an excellent location. The WiFi wasn't working and i had a problem with my phone service at the time so that was an issue. The staff put a phone in and let me use a hotspot so that was sweet. Ty for a great stay!

Only downside is the shark (the one on the bed) wants to be fed before you leave. (and we did....just bread as it was all we had) Warning to others....bring meat!

Liked the location, bed comfortable, easy access from the Main Street (not too many steps to climb). Lighting not optimal ( too bright or too dim (for reading in bed). Also nowhere to hang bath towels for them to dry between use. A rack with hooks anywhere in the apt would be welcome. Otherwise a great place! Highly recommend!

Beautiful room.

Perfect little place for a stay in Vernazza! Short walk from the train station and also a short walk to the beach. The check in process was easy and the Cinque Terre Riviera people were lovely and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful location in the center of town. Very comfortable and accesssible to town, trails, train, ocean, great restaurants, and amazing views. Vernazza is a lovely town with many steps to the apartment. Pack lightly because the steps to the apartment are steep.

Great location to explore Cinque Terre

We used this as a base for 3 days to explore Vernazza and the other cities along the coast. Plenty of options to eat, even in busy season. Couple minute walk from the train station that takes you everywhere you need to go.

Great room in a great location!

Great location on a quiet side street near the harbor, right at the start of the trail to Monterosso. Room was nice and clean. Included a mini-fridge and everything you need to make coffee/tea in the morning. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location and just what we needed

Both the check-in location and the property were easily walkable from the train station, important in this steep area when you are carrying bags and there are no motorized vehicles. Comfortable and quiet room in the oldest area of town, on a charming, narrow street just off of the main street (Cinque Terre style) and with access to hiking trails. Nice bathroom, king and single beds.

Excellent accommodations for first visit to Florence

This was a lovely B&B, located conveniently for all the major sites, just a block from St Croce church/plaza and taxi pick up. The room was very well appointed, clean, hot shower a.c. and comfy bed, very quiet after 11 PM There is an elevator for the first 2 floors, and a single flight to navigate with luggage, yet the hosts are more than happy to help you!

A great place!

This was a great place to stay. Communication with the managing company was easy, as was check-in and out. The room was clean and exactly what we needed. The location is fabulous. A short walk from the train, on the start of a hiking trail and minutes from the beach. I would absolutely stay here again.

Cute clean charming

The room is lovely. Extremely clean, best quality linen. So many much more then advertised. Tea, coffee, fridge welcome basket with croissant and jam more then enough for our weeks stay. Really comfy beds and pillows. You will need the lights on all day which is not unusual for the area and besides we were never in during the day. There is no wifi but again you are never in so we fidn’t Miss it. The one thing that was a little difficult you are on the first floor next to a pedestrian path and we heard some very funny conversations (voices carry of a night so not reveralers just chatting) at 11pm, 12, 1am my daughter slept thru this. I would recommend this room good value for money. Oh I forgot to say the managing agents are amazing!!! Loved them!! They really can not do enough for you. Rest assure you are in good hands and that is so important.

Beautiful room

Our stay in Vernazza was incredible, the location was perfect and convenient. The room is clean and decorated so nice and beds are comfortable. We also enjoyed the book assortment on the shelves for evening reading, and snacks in our room. There is no WiFi, which was fine with us but good to know because cell service is sketchy there. I would recommend staying here without hesitation, that being said the advertisement on VRBO called it an apartment so just know, it is a large bedroom with private bath. The company I think is new to using VRBO so my VRBO account was never updated with payments etc. or moved to the My Trips on the app. But everything went thru fine and they girls at the office we’re supper nice and helpful. They got all the charges right and we had an amazing time.
