Beautiful Gaffaro Apartment in Dorsoduro with Canal View

  • This charming second-floor apartment was completely restored and refurbished in 2004. Features Italian marble floors, hand-cut mosaic detail in the bathroom, Venetian chandeliers.

    Master bedroom with full-size double bed, parquet flooring, fitted wardrobe, Venetian chandelier. Sofa bed in living room pulls out to double bed.
    The kitchen is fully fitted and is divided from the living room by a worktop and breakfast bar. Living room has sofa and dining table for 6.
    It has air conditioning, floor heating and internet wi-fi.

    Our apartment is located in the university district and just two bridges from Campo Santa Margherita which is noted on Public Places ''60 of the Worlds Greatest Places'' list and it is the largest square in Venice and a popular hangout for Venetians young and not so young. It has a great choice of restaurants and cafes and a vegetable and fish market. You can sit in the sun and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by.


    The Gaffaro apartment (named after the bridge it overlooks) is conveniently located for your arrival and departure as it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station at Piazzale Roma. You can walk to Rialto in 15 minutes and get to St. Mark's square in 20 minutes by taking the vaporetto at San Toma'.

Fantastic apartment, great location, and has everything we needed for 3 day visit to Venice. Sebastiano was a great host, we couldn’t ask for anything more. The view out the apartment window is amazing and looks directly over the canal.

We had a wonderful stay in Venice. The host was very accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us information about the city, and the apartment is so clean and comfortable! I would definitely recommend to my friends and family traveling to Venice. We loved the city and enjoyed are stay tremendously!

We had a lovely stay at Sebastiano's property. The property was very comfortable, clean, and in an excellent location 10 minutes walk from the train station. Sebastiano was very helpful with lots of suggestions on things to do and where to eat in Venice. Highly recommend!

This was the best place we stayed in while in Italy, and we highly recommend this beautiful apartment. The owner was great with communication and met us to check-in and explained everything in the apartment as well as gave us recommendations for our stay. We loved it! The view was our favorite thing.

Seriously, the property is even nicer than the ad! Spacious, well appointed, marble floors and everything you need to thrive. The location and view are fantastic. Close to train, bus, water taxi, and everything in the Accademia quadrant. Sebastiano was a consummate host, met us at check in, gave us great local tips and helped us in a jam. You wont regret staying here!

Great apartment with views of the canal from your window. Very comfortable and clean with a large kitchen and dining area, large bedroom and bathroom as well. Sebastiano met us upon arrival and took us up to the apartment, explained everything and then took the time to show us places to visit and eat on a map. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a magical apartment, in a great location, with stunning views and a wonderful host. My daughter and l could not have had a better experience. We felt at home right away and feel very grateful for the incredible charm of this apartment and its owner.

We spent four days in Venice, staying at Sebastiano’s VRBO. Sebastiano communicated with us very clearly prior to our check-in, giving us great advice on how to get to his location. He met us at the apartment and answered all of our questions about Venice, what to do, what not to do, and must do. This included restaurants to eat at, and things to be aware of. His hospitality was fantastic. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The pictures in the VRBO ad are what you get when you arrive at the apartment.

Beautiful Gaffaro Apartment in Dorsoduro with Canal View is the perfect short term rental. Great location, quite, safe, clean, comfortable, reasonable distance to the train and water bus. Sebastiano is an awesome host that took the time to answer all our questions about where to eat, shop and how to navigate the water bus. We definitely would stay here again.
