Boasting a fabulous sunny lake view sun terrace this modernised property is situated in an exclusive residence which has been built in the ancient grounds of a noble villa in the charming and well serviced village of Fiumelatte.

The modernised property is ideal for small to medium sized groups up to 6 with a spacious open plan living room with sofa, flat screen TV and direct access through French doors to the splendid terrace.

A dining area sitting up to 6 is situated to the open plan lake view room and a stylish separate kitchen fitted in a contemporary finish with modern day appliances ideal for a comfortable self catering holiday is situated off from the living room. Appliances include a gas hob oven, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and coffee machine.

The sunny lake view terrace is of an extremely generous size with enough space for sunbathing on the sun-loungers and for dining alfresco, with incredible panoramic views of the famous Golden Triangle towns of Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio! The breathtaking lake view really serves as the most memorable backdrop to your holiday here and is truly unique with surrounding views of the ancient villa grounds with its historical grotto fountain and the famous Fiumelatte river which gushes down past the apartment.

The property ideally sleeps 4-6 guests with a spacious master bedroom with double bed leading out onto a sunny balcony terrace and a second bedroom furnished with a small double bed and study desk. The double sofa bed to the living room can be also used to accommodate additional guests as and when required.

A modern bathroom fitted with a power shower, wash basin, WC, bidet and washing machine completes the property and a private garage is located in the gated grounds.

The picturesque village of Fiumelatte provides guests with a local grocery shop, bakery and an authentic Italian restaurant ideal for dining out as well as a beautiful lakefront setting surrounded by ancient villas, townhouses and lush gardens around the atmospheric Fiumelatte river. The village also benefits from a frequent bus service, a mainline train station with services to Lecco and Milan and lake road which leads directly into the resort town of Varenna in a matter of minutes!

Varenna is the perfect town to explore during your stay with the famous attractions of Villa Monastero with its botanical gardens and the ancient Castello di Vezio with its falconry displays and medieval displays during the summertime. The beautiful town is also very popular with romantics who are drawn to its tree-lined piazzas featuring boutique shops, it’s pretty café lined lakefront with its scenic promenade and fine lake view dining which can be found in the many hotels in the eastern shore town.

A fast and frequent car and passenger ferry service runs from the town to Bellagio and Menaggio making the other central lake attractions all highly accessible. Central lake activities include lake and lido swimming, golf, tennis, water sports, sailing, kayaking, paragliding, hiking and cycling.

Wir können nur dringend von einer Anmietung dieser Wohnung abraten: 1. Der WC-Sitz war/ist locker. Die Toilette ist alt und verdreckt.2. Der Duschschlauch war undicht.3. Es fehlte der Sonnenschirm, was ein erhebliches Problem darstellte. Faktisch war es uns ab 12:30 Uhr nicht mehr möglich, auf der Terasse zu sitzen.4. Die Wohnung hat 5 (!!!) Wassergläser für 4 Personen. Wein- oder Biergläser sind überhaupt nicht vorhanden!5. Die Wohnung ist insgesamt wirklich in keinem guten Zustand und damit dem gezahlten Preis nicht angemessen (siehe Fotos). 6. Wir wussten nicht, wo wir mit dem Müll hin sollten!8. Rund um die Wohnung war der Außenbereich sehr ungepflegt (siehe Fotos).9. Die Terassenstühle konnte man nur nutzen, wenn man ein Handtuch untergelegt hat. Wir wissen auch nicht warum, aber den Kontakt mit der Haut hat bei allen von uns einen kräftigen Juckreiz ausgelöst. Es fehlt Sitzauflagen für die Stühle.Ein Kontakt mit dem Vermieter ist nicht möglich gewesen. Lt. Fewo direkt hat er sämtliche Ersatzansprüche abgelehnt.Wie gesagt, wir können nur dringend von einer Anmietung der Wohnung abraten und hoffen, dass diese Rezension andere Urlauber schützen wird!

Svarte ikke til forventningene

Det som var positivt var utsikten som var tilgjengelig så lenge man sto oppreist, kort vei til togstasjon (lokaltog), kort vei til flere små badeplasser og gangavstand til Varenna (1600 meter). Det var dessverre mange ting å utsette. Det fantes ikke noe matbutikk eller bakeri i Fiumelatte, slik det var opplyst. Nærmeste supermarked var i Lierna, 7 km. unna. Leiligheten var svært skuffende. Liten, og absolutt ikke plass til seks personer! Oppvaskmaskinen fungerte ikke. Vanskelig dialog med utleier, men etter fire dager fikk vi en ny. Sengene var knirkete, harde og bevegelige, slik at det var svært forstyrrende å sove to i samme seng. Det var mugg på veggen som stinket. Mye maur på gulvet i flere rom. Verandaen var stor men dårlig møblert. Kun et simpelt bord og fire stoler som vi fikk kløe av å sitte i. Ingen solstoler som beskrevet. Heldigvis var det en liten, halvt ødelagt parasoll. Det var ingen rengjøring på ti dager og det var ingen rengjøringsredskaper slik at vi kunne gjøre det selv. Ingen informasjon om søppeltømming. Meget dårlig internett. Strømmen ble borte i leiligheten, og vi fikk ikke kontakt med utleier før dagen etter, slik at den var borte i ca. 15 timer.

Needs to be cleaned and better maintained!!

The location and view from the terrace were wonderful, the garage and elevator were appreciated. However there were many things that needed to be improved. The dish washer didn't work, the freezer was completely frosted over, the shower had mold in the corners and on the shower door and there were spiders and cob webs and the shower drain was very slow and we stood in several inches of water when using the shower, the chairs on the terrace left a white film on our clothing, the wall in one of the bedrooms was being repaired and the dust from sanding wasn't even swept up. This apartment could be very nice, but in really needs to be updated and taken care of better. If it doesn't get taken care of, we would never recommend it. We don't think we got our money's worth.

Outstanding view of the lake and mountains

Nice apartment with a large terrace with a beautiful view over the lake and mountains. We missed a parasol on the terrace so bring our own. The apartment is good and clean, it’s equipped with was is needed and not more. Tip, if you want to go for dinner in Varenna? Book a table, we was standing in queue to get a table. From the apartment you walk to Varenna, there is about 2,5 km. But be aware, you need to drive to get to a supermarket. We found a small rocky beach 200 meters from the apartment, so you can easily get a swim. I will recommend the apartment.

This location was incredibly beautiful and away from the crowds. Easy walk to Varenna and very local and friendly. Easy to get to from train station and the lake was stunning!

Beautiful Views!

This apartment is in a great location - beautiful view of the lake from the large rooftop deck and an easy, flat mile walk to Varenna. My only advice is to be prepared to purchase some necessities as we had no dishwashing soap, paper towels, and a very limited amount of toilet paper ( 1 roll - 4 adults for 5 nights). We did thoroughly enjoy our time at the lake and I would stay here again.

FeWo am Comer See/Fiumelatte

Die Lage und der Blick dieser FeWo waren sehr schön und wir konnten zu Fuß nach Varenna gehen, ein Bahnhof befand sich auch in der Nähe, um andere Ortschaften zu erkunden, man muss also nicht mit dem Auto los; Jedoch gab es gleich am Anreisetag Probleme bei der Garagenplatzsuche in der Tiefgarage, da nicht genau die App.-Nr. ersichtlich war; unter den angegebenen Telefonnummern konnten wir um 16Uhr am Anreisetag leider keinen erreichen, auch nicht die Hausmeisterin; Im Geschirrspüler befand sich nicht gespültes, sehr schmutziges Geschirr; Beim Ausziehen des Doppelbettsofas im Wohn-Essbereich fanden wir sehr viel Schmutz darunter und auch die Matratze sah sehr eklig aus; Der Toilettendeckel war aus der Halterung rausgerissen, somit sehr locker, wenn man darauf saß, deshalb waren wir gezwungen, dies selber zu reparieren; Die Handtücher waren sehr sauber, jedoch sind es nicht Duschhandtücher gewesen, sondern kleinere Handtücher und die weiteren jeweils 2."Handtücher"sind eigentlich für Fußboden als Duschvorlage bekannt und viel zu klein zum Abtrocknen; Wir hoffen, dass wir mit unserem Beitrag geholfen haben, den Gesamteindruck dieser eigentlich schönen FeWo darzustellen und dass alle diese Mängel beseitigt werden, damit noch viele weitere Urlauber dort ihren Urlaub verbringen werden. An amazing view, with a mountain spring outside the kitchen window!

The apartment is clean, well equipped, and the view and deck are amazing. After a long day of flight and trains, we arrived to a welcome of champagne, coffee, milk, and snacks. I can't say anything negative about the apartment, except that you definitely need to take a cab from the train station, unless you want to lug your luggage for 4 miles. Also, it is about 1 1/2 miles outside of Varenna, so be prepared to walk a bit. That being said, the place is absolutely amazing with privacy, views, and a very clean, tasteful, large, and well stocked place. We loved it!!
