Our home is nestled on a quiet, cul-de-sac just minutes from the heart of Valdez!! You'll love it because of the spacious yet cozy living area, fully stocked kitchen and laundry, 3 adorable bedrooms, WiFi, flat screen TVs, covered carport, and yard with grill and outdoor seating!! It's perfect for couples, business travelers, families, and groups!! Wheelchair accessible.

Located a short distance from the local schools, play grounds, grocery store, gas station, museums, hospital, rock wall, pool, shops, restaurants, the Small Boat Harbor and more!!!

Great alternative to a hotel

I am in Valdez on a frequent basis for work and have stayed in hotels and other VRBOs. This one had lots of space, massive kitchen, and a really comfortable couch to crash on after a long day of work. There is a large driveway for parking, high speed internet, and a laundry room….all necessities when working/playing in Valdez.

Pleasantly surprised

I wasn’t really sold by the photos but I’m glad I listened to the other reviewers and booked this one. Very clean, comfortable house in a good location. Bedrooms were roomy, with comfy beds, and had much appreciated blackout curtains. Large washer and dryer were a nice bonus.

Great Place to stay

I use VRBO often and was really please with this rental. VERY Clean, great layout. All the bedrooms were great to decent size. The house is on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood...will definitely use in the future.

Great stay & location

Our adult family of four really enjoyed our stay at Black Gold Getaway over Labor Day weekend. The house was clean, well-stocked, nicely decorated, and a great size. Super convenient to the harbor area whether you drive, ride a bike, or take a long walk. Beautiful view of mountains, too. Check in/out instructions, general info, and communication with owner easy.

This was a very clean cute place. Beds were comfy and place was very roomy! Would highly recommend this place to stay and if we get back to Valdez, would look to stay here again.

Lovely home, great views, great location

Stay for fishing

Very clean, Nice sleeping arrangements, easy access to the fishing charters and food. The internet was poor as the cable TV would buffer most all the time during shows and the laptop access was spotty.

5 Adults Exploring Alaska

The property was comfortable for our group of 5 adults (2 couples and a single friend). It is close to the harbor area, and we found a nearby hiking trail that we enjoyed. It was sufficiently equipped such that we could cook our breakfasts and lunches. The property manager was responsive to our needs.

Summer Getaway

This was the 2nd year in a row that we visited this beautiful town and stayed at this quiet rental. Everything was as is listed once again. We had a wonderful time. Cooked some good food and met some great folks. We're Alaskans, so it's nice to communicate with familiar folks like Jennie! We would recommend this place to anyone looking to be in the heart of Valdez as we were able to walk, bike and wheel around not only the neighborhood but get to everywhere else in town within a reasonable time limit. Thanks again & maybe we'll see you again next summer!

This place was close to town. Clean and could sleep a lot of people. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. The water was nice and hot and we could do laundry as well.
