Sehr schönes, zum Stil des Hauses äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Feriendomizil. Ganz toller, super gepflegter riesengroßer Garten. Alles super sauber blitzblank geputzt. Sehr großer beheizter Pool. Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt, unser Hund hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Besitzer des Anwesens sind äußerst zuvorkommend. Check-in in Französisch und Englisch, wofür wir sehr dankbar waren!Die gesamte Ausstattung des Hauses ließ keine Wünsche offen, es war wirklich alles da was das Herz begehrt!

We hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad. De woning is ruim opgezet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een uitzonderlijk mooie tuin die netjes is onderhouden, goed omheind voor onze hond en voorzien van mooie loungebanken en een fijne eetplek onder een grote boom. Het uitzicht vanuit de woning, het terras en het zwembad over de heuvels is fantastisch. Het huis is zeer schoon, luxe en sfeervol. Zeer rustig gelegen maar met een kleine 15 minuten rijden ben je in een fijn dorp met grote supermarkt en leuke restaurants. Prachtige plek en we hebben optimaal genoten.

Superbe adresse dans le Périgord !

Séjour parfait dans le Périgord noir : 1) l’endroit est superbe. Tout à la fois perdu et très calme, et pourtant proche de toutes les commodités et commerces. 2) vue magnifique. 3) bâtisse du 18eme très belle. 4) superbe piscine, grande et très accessible 5) chambres confortables 6) hôte très disponibles et charmants.

Rural Happiness

The solid house protected us from a couple of major storms and outside is just wonderful. The cozy area for breakfast/dining with a fine sunshade made for a very relaxing area. The pool was warm and well maintained. What a relaxing view across the valley. So many trees.

Perfect Dordogne

Sylvette and Alain are the perfect hosts, kind and genuine and authentic in every way. Our first connection on our arrival set the tone for our vacation. Warm welcome and smiles go a long way after a long journey. Fabulous views, local rural atmosphere, easy cycle rides and dog walking. The Farmhouse is eclectic and suited to Summer time vacations. We all enjoyed our time and sincerely hope we can return.

Beautiful property with spectacular views

A huge thank you to Sylvette and Alain our amazing hosts. Perfect peace and tranquillity in such a wonderful location. The house is beautifully restored, the gardens and swimming pool are very well maintained, and the views are spectacular. A blissful holiday with our teen children. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook a full meal. There’s plenty to explore locally, and many good restaurants a brisk walk or short drive away. Chez Junien in Paunat is a must, be sure to calm and book ahead. Thank you to Sylvette and Alain once again.

Beautiful

We just stayed in Sylvette and Alain's villa in the heart of St Alvere for 2 weeks Spotlessly clean fabulous old stone house with traditional beams and exposed stone walls. Fabulous heated pool with far reaching views over the french countryside. Large terrace with lots of areas for eating with an electric awning. Main bedroom has a fabulous shower room en suite all air conditioned Chez Julien is about 9km away and is a must for the beautiful setting and food. Saint Alvere has a couple of restaurants and bars and is about 3km away and is very picturesque and quaint. We were welcomed by Sylvette and Alain with a bottle of wine and some delicious rillette and prune chutney. They then left us to it but answered any questions we had really quickly. Beautiful place which we would highly recommend

Perfect villa and perfect hosts

We have just returned from a superb stay in this beautiful farmhouse, which we stayed in for a week as a family - me, my husband, our 2 girls (8 & 11), my mother and our little dog. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The hosts were there to meet us on arrival, did a quick tour and the left us in peace, to go to their home in Bordeaux for the week. The rooms are spacious, and very tastefully decorated - the beds were very comfy - the main shower room in the middle room in particular is lovely. Air con in all rooms was a joy as it was very hot while we were there, although as a stone built building it was well insulated from the heat. We were blessed with stunning weather on our visit so we’re able to fully enjoy the lovely heated pool, the well kept grounds and various outside seating areas and absolute peace. The views and visiting swallows were so relaxing, it’s a stay we’d have happily extended! It’s so close to such lovely places to visit, although we also happily spent many days by the pool. We had a couple of thunderstorms overnight, which cut power temporarily, but a quick text to the owner rectified this as she told us where the fuse box was, so all started up again. The owners were the best I’ve been in contact with so far with regard renting villas - very quick to respond and very lovely people. I would rebook this villa without reservation. Perfect in every way!

We loved everything about our stay. The hosts Alain & Sylvette were friendly and kind and after giving us a warm welcome they left us for the week so we had complete privacy at the property. The house and gardens are idyllic- we spent many hours in the pool and ate outdoors every day. The house itself was spotless and tastefully furnished, the owners have made a high quality and skillfull restoration of the original farmhouse and it was fully furnished with anything you would ever need. The charming local village is only 5 minutes away with 3 restaurants, 2 patisseries a grocers and weekly market . In the other direction it’s only 15 minutes to the town of les Buges where we hired kayaks for the day and also shopped at the hypermarche- so the house is very well situated. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend!

Excellent séjour

L'annonce est telle que la réalité, séjour reposant. La maison est d'une propreté irréprochable et bien équipée (et c'est une maniaque qui le dit :-)) Le terrain est joliment arboré et fleuri, très bien entretenu et belle piscine avec une vue imprenable. Les hôtes sont très disponibles et nous les remercions encore pour leur gentille attention à notre arrivée.

Calme et tranquilité

Le gîte est agréable et très propre, extrêmement bien équipé. Les propriétaires sont accueillant, ils nous ont bien renseignés sur la région et les visites à effectuer. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans ce gîte.

Maison calme située et finalement pas loin de tout

Mme Sylvette Pendent l'introduction de la maison, nous avons été immédiatement vendus à la belle vue, le jardin et à la piscine. Tout est très bien entretenu et tout est très propre et bien rangé, pour lequel un grand bravo. De nombreuses activités sont possibles à proximité immédiate, telles que les sports, la culture, l'histoire et les marchés. Un plus, c'est que dans le village (Sainte-Alvère) même, il y a deux délicieuses boulangeries et plusieurs bons restaurants. La distance aux villes de Bergerac, Périgueux, ... fait de cette maison un endroit bien situé dans la belle région de la Dordogne. Félicitations pour votre belle maison et continuez comme ça! Excellent séjour au calme

La maison est idéalement située, au milieu des champs et des forêts, totalement au calme. C'est une propriété avec un charme fou, parfaitement entretenue et dotée d'une magnifique piscine. It was a wonderful holiday in a charming house

We stayed two weeks in July in this very nice old stone house in the Dordogne Region. The house had lots of space and was very well equipped and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the garden, the calm, the stunning view, the surrounding nature and of course the swimming pool. As we like also some activities during our holidays we were happy that there is much to discover, here are some recommendations: Canoing on the Vezere river, starting from Saint Leon Sur Vezere, Chateau visit as escape game at Chateau de Marzac, Climbing in the trees (Accrobranche) at Vergtaventures. Markets at le bugue, shopping in Bergerac of course some vide-greniers, wine tasting in le bugue, cave julien-de-savignac and many more things to do. We would definitely recommend the location and want to say thank you to Alain et Sylvette for there nice welcome and the oppourtunity to stay in their fantastic house.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison typique de la région, très fonctionnelle et bien équipée. La piscine avec la vue dégagée sur la campagne, sans vis-à-vis, est incroyable ! Merci aux propriétaires pour la délicate attention à notre arrivée, nous recommandons vivement ce très bel endroit

Wunderschön!

Ein sehr schönes altes Bauernhaus mit großem Grundstück Die Schlafzimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet. Das wichtigste ist im Haus vorhanden, die Küche recht gut ausgestattet, alles ist blitzsauber. Der Pool ist sensationell und wird 2mal wöch. gereinigt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Fantastisch!

Woning is prachtig gelegen in alle rust. Geweldig uitzicht. Heerlijk verwarmd zwembad. Goede locatie om uitstapjes te maken. Huis was superschoon opgeleverd. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. Top!

Séjour idyllique

Le domaine de la Cavalerie est magnifique et les vieilles pierres certainement chargées d'histoires incitent à la sérénité et au repos. Les propriétaires sont d'une gentillesse exquise, l'accueil chaleureux et les marques de confiance envers nous, notamment pour le départ nous ont beaucoup touchés. La maison est très propre et très bien équipée… il ne manque rien (la nouvelle cuisine… bien). Le très grand terrain est superbement arboré et fleuri et que dire de la piscine… splendide ! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette belle région, un grand merci aux propriétaires que nous aurions plaisir à revoir.

Beautiful place and lovely owners

The owners were so kind when we arrived too late to shop and gave us their own food. The house and pool are very special
