Located on the Texas Hill Country Trail in the settlement of Utopia. This custom built vacation home offers quick and easy access to Garner State Park, The Frio river and Lost Maples State Park, as well as the Vanderpool motorcycle museum, Utopia Park, Frio River and the Sabinal river.
Beautiful star filled nights await you, your family and friends. Enjoy the beautiful sun rise or the stunning moon rise and the warm Hill Country air from your private pool. Or spend your days taking in the incredible views and exotic wildlife on the 2,000 sq ft covered porch.
This home features 2 of every appliance to accommodate your large group. Each room has it own private bath with walk in shower.
Outside, a fire pit for your nightly S'mores roast as well as a BBQ pit. Don’t forget the Putting Green, Washer Pit, Swimming pool, Hot tub, Pool table, Shuffleboard Table, Ping-pong table, Foosball table and Washer boards all here as well.

Totally amazing, house is even better than pics, beautiful scenery. We were there celebrating Thanksgiving. There were 21 of us. The kids had a fantastic time and spent all day, every day outdoors. There really is 2 of everything which worked great for Thanksgiving for my large family. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom. Carol was a fantastic host and could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend and would definitely book again.

This was the absolute BEST rental EVER! Plenty of room for everyone the kitchen is even larger than it looks like on the website outside games and entertainment for all. This place is so beautiful. I will come back maybe even again this year. Zero complaints 100% amazing. This was the best place for our family reunion. The pool was awesome and so was everything else. Everything on the listing is exactly as described. The house is beautiful. Everything is nice new and clean and yes, there are two of everything! So convenient. Shout to Carol one of the owners. She was the BEST too!

Fantastic

This was our second stay at the Moondance, and it was just as amazing as the first! The property is spacious, with incredible views and a fantastic pool. There’s plenty to do right on-site, which makes it perfect for a relaxing and fun getaway. We’d definitely stay here again—such a great time!

Family Frio Trip

House was clean, well-stocked, and in a great proximity to the Frio River (Garner State Park). While the house was great, the owner can be a little overbearing. The owner will be there when you arrive to do a formal walk-through. They require that you do a formal walk-through to leave the property or you will be charged. Hopefully you dont need to leave early in the morning. The owner showed up three times while we were at the house unannounced. They both had my phone number and could have called or text when needing to stop-in. They live next door and just seem to not trust their property to anyone. If you pay 5200 for four nights stay I would expect a little more trust on their part. The pool was great, the putting green was fun, house description is accurate minus the fooseball table...not a big problem. Paper products: toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags are on you to provide. A little inconvenient when you dont know what size trash cans they have. Overall it wasnt bad. Property was a 10. Owner just made it a little less relaxing. Did our best to treat their property like it was our own and followed all the rules.

Memorable Friendsgiving

This place is just A-MAZING!!! We were a huge party of 26 people with ages ranging between 6-78. Tons of games and activities helped keep everyone busy. There wasn’t a single moment when we felt we could’ve made a better choice with the place. Excellent and beautiful place to stay in Texas hill country. To top it all, the owner, Bill was very accommodating and helpful in every way. We fell short of words to express how happy and content we were with our choice. We hope to come back to this place sometime again!

Amazing stay

We came here to celebrate my cousins bachelor party and we had a great time. The house is spacious and has a great pool with an amazing view. The owner, Bill, is super friendly and communicates really well. Overall, we had a great time and great experience at this rental property.

50th Anniversary Weekend

Moondance Hacienda is amazing, quiet, beautiful views and relaxing. There are two of everything in the kitchen as described. There are plenty of games and activities for everyone to enjoy. Our family ranges from 9 to 84 and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and do whatever they liked. Bill and Carol were wonderful to work with. He even called a couple days ahead of our arrival to see if we had any questions or needed anything. They live next to the property and said don’t hesitate to call if we needed anything. We all had a wonderful weekend.

Great Find!

We had a group of 5 families at this property and accommodations were nearly perfect. Great views, house is equipped to host very large groups- from towels to the kitchen. The pool is large with a wonderful outdoor space.

Country paradise

Our stay in this beautiful property was exactly what we needed to get away from our busy day to day life in a big city! It was beyond beautiful, very clean, in a great location, not far at all from Garner state park. Pictures and videos won’t do this property justice, definitely breathtaking views and this home had all the amenities our big family with lots of kids needed to keep them entertained, our littles loved the jacuzzi!! As for property management Bill and Carol are both sweethearts, very attentive, transparent, and responsive, they even brought over two of their goats for our kiddos to pet! Our family would definitely return to this beautiful home. Definitely recommend it!

Family Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay at the Moon Dance Ranch! The property was stunning, there were many activities for all ages, and we had plenty of room for every to fit comfortably! The kitchen having two stoves was such a life saver for us having a large group like us. Also, the owner was very nice and communicated very well with us from beginning to end! Definitely will be back!!
