We stayed for a night. Excellent support from James. In a quiet area and nice and clean room with comfortable bedding. Bathroom a bit small but clean and had all facilities. John Lewis tower fan was so essential for the night as it was hot. Ty James.

It’s dated and needs some tlc - sadly things like layout don’t help, but things like light sensors only lighting after you reach different bits of the corridor just felt cheap and a poor experience. On arrival there were bugs on the window, had clearly not been used/cleaned for a while

The size of our room was excellent. The bath was a great size, but it would have been nice if the jacuzzi feature worked. Nonetheless, the kids loved it for keeping cool during the hottest days of the year, so far. Air conditioning, or a fan would have been good, but for the price we paid we can't complain. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was very useful, but only 2 plates and cutlery when we'd booked the room for 4 of us, (2 adults and 2 children), seemed like an oversight. All in all, pretty good value for money.

I was disappointed with our stay at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel. Check-in was very slow, and there were groups of teenagers hanging around the lobby which didn’t create the best first impression. Our room had no air conditioning, which was particularly uncomfortable during the 35°C heat. When I asked at reception for a fan, I was simply told they had all been distributed around the hotel, so there wasn’t one available. As our room was on the ground floor, we couldn’t safely leave the windows open overnight either. The cleanliness of the room was also poor. There were hairs around the toilet, and we found ants on the bed and in the bath. To make matters worse, there was no TV remote in the room, so I had to return to reception. Fortunately, a different member of staff was on duty and was much more helpful. He quickly managed to find us a fan despite being told previously there weren’t any available, and he attempted to resolve the TV issue. As he couldn’t fix it himself, he said maintenance would come to the room, but nobody ever arrived. The only positive aspect of our stay was the second receptionist, who was friendly, helpful and clearly did his best to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by poor cleanliness, uncomfortable rooms, inconsistent customer service and maintenance that never materialised.
