Do you like the Rustic and Romantic appeal of a beautiful cabin tucked back in the woods but want all the comforts of being close to Everything? Well, you have just found it. If you're an early riser get your coffee and grab a seat on the deck and watch the woods wake up as the sun rises. There are three fire pits for your evening enjoyment, one located on the main patio, one located behind the garage area with swings, and one at the pond. The home is 35 minutes from the Ark Encounter & 25 minutes to the Creation Museum. A short drive to Ohio or Indiana. Also 25 minutes away from CVG, if you are taking a flight into the area. Do you like the Rustic and Romantic appeal of a Cabin tucked back in the woods but want all the comforts of being close to Everything? Well, you have just found it. Get your coffee and grab a seat on the deck and watch the woods wake up as the sun rises. There are three fire pits for your evening enjoyment, one located on the main patio, one behind the garage, and one at the pond. The home is 35 minutes to the Ark Encounter & 25 minutes to the Creation Museum. Close to Idlewild Disc Golf course.
The space
The upper level has an open floor plan. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom as well as kitchen, dining room and living room. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a full. If additional room is needed, we offer a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. There is also a 58" smart tv in the living room that is also viewable from the kitchen and Dining room. Down the spiral staircase is the lower level where there is another bedroom with a queen bed and a bonus room with a queen bed. Also, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. The family room has another 58" smart tv and just off of the family room is a space set up as an Office/work area that has a great view of the pond and fountain. The smart tv's are connected to the internet so you can stream from your personal accounts.
If you choose to dine out, you will be a short drive from countless restaurants.
Shopping is also a short drive away.
Guest access
You will have free run of the house minus a closet in the bonus room and the detached garage.
Other things to note
Although you will self-check in with the smart lock, if my husband or I are available we will try to greet you and give you a tour to answer any questions.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! Terri was incredibly responsive and helpful from start to finish — any time we had a question, we got a quick and kind reply. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and perfectly decorated with so many thoughtful touches. We especially loved spending time on the back deck listening to the peaceful sound of the water fountain and pond — it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was absolutely pristine! From our sweet gift basket and hand-written card welcoming us to the cozy, warm atmosphere, we fell in love with this glimpse of heaven. There were extra pillows and blankets for each room, plenty of family board games, children's books and toys. The location was nicely tucked away, with a few neighbors nearby. We definitely hope to come again for a longer stay to enjoy more peace and tranquility.

Amazing!!The home was very cozy and comfortable. The gift basket was very thoughtful and a nice touch. The house had everything we needed and was immaculate. I loved the back deck overlooking the pond. I could have stayed out there hours. Already planning our next trip!

5 star cabin!

The property and everything that is provided is just perfect. We were preparing a couple of meals for eight of us, and between the outdoor grill and everything in the kitchen, well, if it’s not there, then you don’t need it.We could tell that the cleanliness is not just on the surface. Every room every area is perfectly clean.The host is very responsive and had a small gift for us set up prior to our arrival. This was very unexpected and added a really nice Touch. Everyone in our group thought this was all just fantastic.As we were leaving & going back down the driveway, our daughters commented that if we ever come back to the area, we need to book here again because our log cabin stay was unforgettable!!

Wooded privacy - fun for three generations!

Our family absolutely loved the secluded cabin and private pond. We enjoyed four days of fishing, campfires (choice of three locations) and The Ark and Creation Museums! Kids, adults and grandparents appreciated this well equipped, clean and rustic home with something for everyone. The owner, Terri, was accommodating and so kind. Five stars!

Christmas near The Ark and Creation Museum

This was a perfect getaway for my family from MI and MD to meet halfway for the holidays! We truly enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect amount of space, the beds were comfortable the living space was great for games and movies and opening gifts!

Loved our stay!

We decided to reserve this particular property after searching online for several hours, looking for just the right property for our family. We were very happy upon arriving at this lovely home! The pics and description you will see online are accurate. The home was very clean, well maintained, and had every convenience you could possibly need when staying at a home away from home. The guys enjoyed fishing in the well stocked fish pond while the ladies and kiddos enjoyed reading on the deck, watching a movie on one of the flatscreens and snacking in the well appointed kitchen. There was plenty of room for four adults and two kiddos to have our own space. The gravel driveway is easy to navigate, the property is situated in a private, quiet development about 15 minutes from Florence (where you will find lots of shopping, restaurants, etc) and you are about 30 minutes from either the Ark or Creation Museum. We found this to be a super convenient location yet we felt like we were truly away from it all when we returned home in the evenings. This property is the perfect retreat spot. We highly recommend this lovely home for your next adventure when visiting the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum or simply needing a nice place to stay near Florence, KY. Thank you to the hosts for sharing this lovely property!

Family Reunion

Everything we were looking for!

Walking into Ms. Terri’s cabin was like being welcomed in by a beloved family member. She’d set up a welcome basket for us with a sweet card and tons of snacks. The cabin was immaculately cleaned, decorated so cozy, and stocked with anything we could have needed. It really did feel like we were visiting that aunt that has everything you could need and more. We forgot a pack and play for our 2 year old… she had one. I forgot to iron one of my shirts.. she had and iron and and ironing board. I got a stain on said shirt… stain remover was in the laundry room. And let’s not forget the view. Wow…. Pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is perfectly tucked away in the woods but we were still only 13 ish minutes away from a Kroger and such in town. Just the perfect stay!

Great retreat!

Our family had a wonderful New Year's Eve vacation at the cabin. Some went to Perfect North, others shopping, but we all gathered for dinner and card games in the evenings, while kids enjoyed movies in the basement and the guys had football going in the living room. It was really great!

Creation Museum & Arc Encounter Visit

Timber Frame Country Retreat is a perfect location for to visit both the Creation Museum and Arc Encounter. Terri was wonderful to work with and always immediately available for any questions or help. Well appointed and super clean. We had two couples, but could have accommodated four couples very well. Highly Recommended!

Perfect family vacation spot!

We traveled to Kentucky to see the Ark encounter and creation museum and this was the perfect spot between both attractions! Florence was also very easy to get to for groceries and other needs! The fishing pond and fire pits were a hit! The owners were very responsive when I had questions as well! The home was so warm and inviting and very clean with plenty of amenities and was fully stocked. My 5 year old son loved all the board games and the house was very accommodating with a pack and play and infant tub for the baby!! Can not say enough about this home! Also had a short drive up to Cincinnati for Italian at "Scotties" it was soooo good!! We will definitely be back!
