If you are seeking a memorable Pacific Northwest getaway, you are invited to fabulous Union City Beach House at Hood Canal. This clean, comfortable and private beachfront vacation rental awaits! You will be amazed by the one of a kind, jaw dropping views, the wildlife, the tidal changes at your back door and the lovely sunsets.

👍Located on the coveted South Shore, guests are greeted with SPECTACULAR, UNOBSTRUCTED 180 DEGREE VIEWS of the Olympic Mountains and the picturesque "Great Bend" that are sensational from the large deck and nearly every room in the home. This beautiful and peaceful location is the ideal setting for a romantic retreat or just to rest, relax and rejuvenate!

This immaculate waterfront home is 1100 square feet, has a renovated kitchen, two queen bedrooms, and an updated bathroom. Suitable for a small family or group, the home accommodates a maximum of 4 guests (5 with owner approval only). This is a great location to stay for a bride and groom, family or members of the wedding party leading up to the big day! To keep you connected, the home has high speed wireless internet and a 51" flat screen smart HDTV.

Just 1.5 hours from Seattle and 2.5 hours from Portland, the beach cabin is at water's edge and has just the right touches to make guests feel comfortable and at home. A large, 700 square foot private deck overlooks stunning views of the Olympic Mountains, water and wildlife. Guests can easily access the beach and water using the heavy duty, aluminum, marine grade step stairs. In the summer, guests are provided a WEBER propane grill (not available Nov - March) and plenty of seating for outdoor dining, basking and relaxing.

Resting on the shores of Hood Canal and surrounded by the snow covered Olympic Mountains, the home is at a CONVENIENT CENTRAL LOCATION. Here in the town of Union, you are just 2 miles from Alderbrook Resort and Spa (Guests have access to resort amenities; bar, live music, dining, hiking trails, lawn games, spa, golf, kayak, SUP rentals). The Union City Beach House is just a 4 minute walk away from groceries, treats and specialty gifts at The Union City Market (located within the Hood Canal Marina), which hosts cookouts and is popular as a local gathering space. Also nearby is the 2 Margaritas Family Mexican Restaurant and the Union Country Store.

The tidelands and beach are fun for the kids to explore and for adults, sweet and succulent Pacific Oysters and delectable Manila Clams are easy to collect and do not get any fresher and tastier than this!

The water is warm and great for kayaking, boating and numerous other water activities. The scenery is awe-inspiring and ever changing. Our guests delight in nature as seals, bald eagles, great blue heron, belted kingfisher and many other migratory birds and ducks abound. The abundant wildlife and phenomenal sunsets provide ample opportunity for captivating photography.

Besides the numerous water related activities, there are many things to do at Hood Canal, especially for the adventurous! Head to the Olympics and hike Mount Ellinor, Staircase or other more or less challenging trails nearby. Several highly ranked golf courses are close by including, Alderbrook, Salish Cliffs at Little Creek, Gold Mountain and others. Nearby casinos include Little Creek and the Lucky Dog. Gourmet dining is available nearby at The Alderbrook Resort and Spa and the Union City Maeket offers authentic Pacific Northwestern culinary fare. Other nearby activities include wine or distillery tasting, antiquing, spa treatments or boating excursions.

There is really no place like our Union City Beach House at Hood Canal. This is a place where memories are made. Whether you are looking for a home base for recreation and adventure, a private location for a romantic getaway or just want to enjoy nature and the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula without being deep in the woods, we invite you to be our guests, enjoy the comfortable accommodations and discover all that Hood Canal has to offer.

Pets are welcome with owner approval and should be disclosed at the time of booking. There is a pet fee of $30 per night for each dog.

Extremely clean and well-appointed home with spectacular views. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The Olympic mountains were unfortunately shrouded in smoke, then clouds, but we thoroughly enjoyed watching the abundant marine life. We saw numerous seals, heron, geese, and more. And so many oysters! The outdoor deck seating and fire pit overlooking the water provided a much-needed relaxing and serene weekend.

If you're looking at this property and hesitating for any reason, just click the Book button and go for it. The location is absolutely perfect for enjoying wonderful views of the Hood Canal. We saw seals, fish, birds, and was able to walk the beach at low tide and pick oysters. Turns out the inside is pretty nice too. Great kitchen, and we had everything we needed to cook meals (you will still want to plan for ingredients). Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and spacious. The living room was nice and comfy, and the large windows make you feel like you are sitting outside on the wonderful deck. So, what are you waiting for?

Our visit in Union

The property is absolutely wonderful. The house has everything anyone could need. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils. We slept like babies as the bed was extremely comfortable. It was fun to watch all the wild life. One morning there were 12 Blue Herons standing in the shallows during low tide. Watched a seal devour about a 10 lb salmon. We live in Spokane and if it wasn't such a long drive, we would try to stay here once every couple of months. Many thanks to the Ehlers for the use of the Union City Beach house. Steve and Deanne, Aug. 3-7, 2025.

Lovely property with great water access. We saw lots of seals, eagles and a few herons from the comfortable and very well-equipped deck. Nearby state park offers enjoyable forest walks. Kitchen and bathroom were perfectly clean and well stocked. Three humans and one small dog had a very enjoyable visit!

This was our 10th visit to your beautiful property! We love it each time and can't wait to go back again! This time we saw 3 Orcas, a yellow jelly fish, and 2 fishermen on the sandbar at low tide! Lots of bird species and seals... We see improvements to property each time we visit. Thanks, Kevin, for being such a great host (always quick and easy communication) Kitchen is really well stocked!

Exceeded expectations!

This place is a gem! It was even better than the photos and the host did a great job with all the details to make our stay comfortable. It was a very easy place to be and the views and wildlife were spectacular. Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, and even floaties, towels and water shoes for the beach were provided. I will definitely be back!

Week-end get away

Excellent rental. The house was clean, attractive, well appointed and very comfortable. The view and location were outstanding. I highly recommend this rental and will absolutely stay there again if I return to this area in the future.
